Experienced HVAC Engineer for Danish Energy Management

Then you could be the experienced HVAC engineer we are currently seeking for Dansk Energi Management - DEM.

About DEM

At Dansk Energi Management we advise public and private customers on, among other things, technical installations, energy efficiency, indoor climate and sustainable solutions.

In 2024 DEM became part of Spangenberg & Madsen Rådgivende Ingeniører. This enables us to combine DEM's strong competencies in energy and sustainability with S&M's broad technical specialist consulting.

For you this means access to a broad professional environment and the opportunity to work closely with specialists in, among others, HVAC, electrical, fire, building automation, sustainability and client advisory.

Your role

In this position as an experienced HVAC engineer you will have a central role in designing and advising on our projects.

You will work with existing buildings, renovation and new construction, and depending on the project and experience you will follow tasks from the initial analyses and proposed solutions to design, tendering, execution and handover.

We do not expect you to know everything yet. Instead we are looking for someone who has a solid HVAC technical foundation, takes responsibility for your solutions and wants to actively apply your experience.

If you can see yourself in the role, your tasks may include

• design and dimension HVAC and plumbing installations
• develop energy-efficient solutions focusing on indoor climate, operation and total cost of ownership
• prepare specifications, calculations, tender and project documentation
• coordinate installations with architects and other engineering disciplines
• participate in client meetings and provide technical owner advisory
• quality assure and audit projects and technical solutions
• monitor projects during construction through site supervision and follow-up
• contribute to bids and the early development of new projects.

Who are you?

Your educational path may vary. You could be an engineer, mechanical engineer, HVAC installer or have another relevant technical or craft background. The crucial thing for us is your experience and your HVAC technical understanding.

It is also a big plus if you have practical experience as a tradesperson or experience from the executing part of construction. We value practical understanding of installations and how solutions that look good on paper must also be able to be executed and function in reality.

We envision that you

• have several years of experience with HVAC/PLV design - preferably from the consulting sector
• have solid knowledge of ventilation, heating, cooling and other technical installations
• can work independently with design and at the same time thrive in cross-disciplinary project teams
• have an eye for the connection between technology, energy, indoor climate, economics and the subsequent operation
• work in a structured way and take responsibility for the quality of your deliverables
• communicate confidently with customers, colleagues and other partners.

If you have experience with Revit, BIM and relevant calculation and design tools, that is also an advantage.
