Experienced lawyer with strong expertise in property law and negotiation

The Establishment and Terrain Command seeks an experienced and negotiation-strong jurist for the Property Section. We offer a central role where you will have a large independent responsibility and the opportunity to influence complex projects with great societal significance.

Your primary duties

• You lead complex negotiations with private and public actors on, among other things, the purchase, sale and lease of real property
• Drafting and quality assurance of complex contracts, transfer agreements and declarations
• You provide specialized legal advice within real estate law, including expropriation and enforcement of the authorities’ rights as owner and tenant
• Handling potential conflicts and legal disputes in close dialogue with our colleagues in the Legal Department and partners
• Collaboration with colleagues from other departments, including construction, environmental, economic and external advisors to ensure holistic solutions

Our expectations of you

We envision that you have a cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or similar and at least 5 years of relevant experience from a similar position in a public authority, a law firm or a larger real estate company.

In addition we place emphasis on that you

• Are an experienced negotiator who can achieve results through dialogue, have strong diplomatic skills and remain calm under pressure
• Communicate clearly and precisely and are able to convey complicated law in an easily understandable language – both in writing and verbally
• See opportunities rather than limitations and work in a solution-oriented manner without compromising legal integrity
• Master the classical real estate law disciplines and navigate safely in public-law frameworks

Employment terms

The employment is governed by the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a range of academic organizations for academics in the state (the Academic Collective Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating supplements. There is an employer-funded pension scheme linked to the position.

The workplace is in Hjørring.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be security-clearable and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment period.

As an employee you have a duty to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About the Establishment and Terrain Command

We build new facilities, maintain buildings and areas, operate cafeterias and clean at all service locations under the Ministry of Defence.

On behalf of the Ministry of Defence’s group we are responsible for the green area, which includes environmental, energy and nature maintenance of all of the Defence’s training areas.
