Experienced lawyers for the executive secretariat in the police

About the Management Secretariat

The Management Secretariat is broadly composed of lawyers, other academics and administrative staff and is characterized by a busy environment with skilled colleagues and a strong social cohesion. The Management Secretariat consists of five sections, including a legal section.

As an employee in the Management Secretariat's Legal Section you work closely with the police district's top management and get a unique insight into the police district's overall tasks as well as a broad contact surface with the entire organization, the National Police, the municipalities in the police district and the police district's other partners.

We work with many diverse tasks from drafting contributions to the answer to parliamentary questions and other hearings, secretariat assistance to standing committees as well as general leadership-support tasks to concrete legal case processing of, among others, access to information cases, appeal cases and compensation cases, as well as assessment of, among other things, police, administrative and data protection law issues.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Drafting contributions to the answer to parliamentary questions and responses to other inquiries
• Leadership-support tasks (e.g. preparation of agendas for and minutes of the SU meetings)
• Quality assurance of the work in the police district's license and permit section and to be the Police Director's representative on the municipalities' permit board
• Legality check of the police district's set of plans
• Preparation of general guidelines and legal notes
• Smaller project tasks and occasional teaching
• Concrete case handling

You

Salary and employment terms

You will be salary-classified as a Special Consultant or possibly Chief Consultant in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations depending on experience and competencies. Employment as a civil servant can occur if you already hold a civil service appointment.

The weekly working time is 37 hours, and your workplace will be the police station in Næstved, Parkvej 50, Næstved, where we occupy a newer building with good staff facilities. We have good staff facilities such as a canteen, fruit scheme and a gym.

We have red-free working hours.

The position is to be filled by agreement.

It is a condition of employment that you can be security-checked and maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.

About South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police

The South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police is built around five local stations. The local stations are located in Nakskov, Nykøbing F., Vordingborg, Næstved and Slagelse. In addition, the Aliens Control Department is located in Rødbyhavn. The police district's headquarters are located in Næstved.

The police district comprises a total of 7 municipalities: Slagelse, Sorø, Næstved, Faxe, Vordingborg, Guldborgsund and Lolland, with a total population of about 390,000. In the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police there are about 900 employees, of whom the majority are police officers. In addition, there are employees with, among others, academic and administrative backgrounds.
