About the Job

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong profile who can take part in the technical ownership of our Microsoft platform. You will work with Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 in a role where you contribute to daily operations and to the long-term development of the platform.

In relation to the individual areas you will, among other things, work with

• Azure: Operation and development of cloud infrastructure, including governance of subscriptions, network, security, automation and resource optimization
• Microsoft 365: Overall administration and development of the M365 platform, including compliance, security and cross-cutting functionality

In the position you will with the rest of the team share responsibility for ensuring a stable, secure and scalable platform, while also helping to develop and implement common principles for governance, architecture and usage. This includes translating the business needs into technical solutions and ensuring that the platform is used consistently and in accordance with applicable standards and requirements.

You will work in close collaboration with technicians, architects and business units, and you will play an important role in creating coherence between operations, development and strategic initiatives.

The role contains both operational and more advisory tasks, and it is expected that you can take initiative and create an overview for the area.

If neither Microsoft 365 Admin Center, app- and Enterprise registrations nor the Azure portal scare you – and you also want to help set direction for our Microsoft platform – then you should consider applying for the position.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Ensure stable operation, maintenance and further development of the Microsoft platform
• Work with Identity & Access Management with focus on Entra ID
• Drive and develop governance, including principles, standards and best practices
• Create overview and structure in a complex system and application portfolio
• Contribute to architectural choices and technical direction for the platform
• Be a professional sparring partner for colleagues and partners
• Take ownership of tasks and initiatives – from idea to implementation

Your profile

We imagine that you

• have solid experience with Azure, Entra ID and Microsoft 365, including Identity & Access Management as well as Conditional Access in Microsoft Entra ID
• have a good understanding of governance, security and compliance, and can translate it into configuration, automation and documentation.
• can create structure in complex technical landscapes
• are keen to actively bring your experience into play and contribute to the professional development in the team
• thrive in a team where we share knowledge, spar with each other and succeed together
• are curious about others' domains and actively contribute with your own professionalism
• have experience from a larger or complex organization. Familiarity with a politically led organization is an advantage but not required

Salary and employment terms

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Association of Danish Municipalities and the negotiating organizations.

Employment from 1 December 2026.

The Cloud Infrastructure and Cybersecurity team is part of IT and Digitalization (FIDI) in Aarhus Municipality.

IT and Digitalization has the responsibility for a large part of the common digital foundation on which Aarhus Municipality builds. We deliver, operate and develop the common IT solutions, platforms and services that enable the municipality's employees to solve their tasks digitally and securely.

It ranges from the basic IT infrastructure, workspace and access to systems to common platforms, cybersecurity and digital solutions used across the municipality.

Our task is both to ensure stable and secure daily operation and at the same time develop the municipality's digital foundation in line with new needs, technologies and requirements.
