About the job

Are you passionate about personnel law, good employer behavior and qualified sparring with managers? Then you may be our new colleague.

We are looking for a new colleague with solid experience in the personnel law field.

You will become part of an open, evolving and highly professionally competent work community, where humor, knowledge sharing and high professional quality are a constant part of everyday life.

With us you will have good colleagues, top-class professional sparring, home-working days and great variation and flexibility on several fronts. In short, a fun, challenging and development-oriented job that makes sense on several levels.

About HR

HR is organized in a staff function together with the City Secretariat, which totals 22 colleagues. In HR we are 9 employees who every day support the entire municipal organization with advice and tasks within the HR-, personnel-, and occupational health area. Your closest colleagues are the department's three other personnel consultants and a personnel lawyer with professional responsibility for the area. We work closely together, share knowledge and focus on creating value for both managers, employees and citizens.

The position

The position is full-time with commencement on 1 December 2026.

As a personnel consultant you should be able to move between having an overview of many tasks with different partners and at the same time be able to delve into your tasks in detail. In daily life you will have contact with many people with different functions and professional backgrounds such as managers, employees and union representatives, and you must therefore be able to adapt quickly and show understanding for different needs and agendas.

As a personnel consultant you will receive a broad and varied portfolio of tasks, which among other things can include:

  • Advising managers on personnel matters, good employer behavior and pay conditions.
  • Sick leave management – e.g., participation in meetings with managers and employees.
  • Handling of complex disciplinary cases and negotiations with trade unions.
  • Coordination and case handling of personnel processes – e.g., personnel reductions or reorganizations.
  • Employment law sanctions and preparation of decisions.
  • Negotiation and preparation of preliminary agreements and local agreements.
  • Advice on pay placements for new hires.
  • Interpretation and implementation of agreements, contracts and legislation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration within the organization.

Your profile

We are seeking a colleague with a relevant educational background; you may, for example, be office educated, have a medium-cycle or higher education and perhaps relevant continuing education. It is a prerequisite that you have solid experience from the personnel legal area and preferably from the public sector.

You work in a structured, service-minded and solution-oriented way, and you are able to see tasks in a larger organizational context. You can independently solve tasks at a high professional level, and move comfortably between detail and broad overview. At the same time you communicate clearly and professionally – both orally and in writing – and you thrive in a collaboration where trust, dialogue and respect are the foundation. Finally, you want to actively contribute to knowledge sharing, learning and development in the department and to be part of a professionally strong community.

You have a driving license for passenger cars and are prepared to participate in meetings throughout the municipality.

We offer

With us you get a workday characterized by independent and varied tasks, where no two days are the same, and where you have the opportunity to apply your competencies across the organization. You will support managers in your fixed departments with all types of cases, and you will always have the opportunity to seek sparring from a colleague.

You will become part of a dedicated and experienced team where professional sparring, constructive dialogue and good humor are a natural part of the culture. With us, professionalism, quality and integrity go hand in hand. We work within the rules, but we are not afraid to think constructively and find the solutions that create the greatest value. Trust, strong relationships and a focus on creating coherence in our joint HR effort are part of our DNA.

We prioritize professional development, which is why we are currently represented at the Personnel Law Conference and in relevant ERFA networks.

You will have your workplace at Nyborg Town Hall – centrally located close to both the train station and the motorway – and become part of a department that has a clear mission to support the organization in succeeding with the core task and creating well-being for employees.

As colleagues we have a culture with plenty of room, where we focus on a good social community in the office, and we have many formal and informal chats during a workweek. We are good at laughing together, and we ensure a good atmosphere in the office. We are attentive to each other in daily life, and we really like cake.

You will experience a culture where we take great responsibility and show a lot of flexibility to get tasks done. We work independently and with great flexibility regarding how we organize work. There are good opportunities to work from home combined with a flexible Friday, which means that working hours in some weeks can be placed on the first four days of the week. You should expect that the placement of working hours can vary depending on the current tasks.

In connection with your start there will be a planned onboarding process with training and introduction to the organization, tasks and partners. During the training period you should expect to be present most days.
