Experienced Project Manager for DS Steel Construction

At DS Stålkonstruktion we are seeking an experienced project manager who will have overall responsibility for our most demanding projects in the form of data center projects and larger industrial constructions. You will ensure progress, commercial success and quality through strong leadership of both projects and project teams.

About the role

You will become a central part of our department for special constructions, where we handle projects of significant size and technical complexity for customers domestically and abroad. As project manager you have the overall responsibility to steer the large portfolios and projects safely to completion from the initial strategic phases to final delivery.

The role differs in that in addition to project management you will have personnel and professional leadership of project teams consisting of a project manager, design team and site manager. You set the overall direction, ensure optimal resource allocation and advise with the team to solve technical and contractual knots.

Your primary areas of responsibility

• Overall project- and portfolio-responsibility: To drive large and complex projects from early planning to final delivery with ultimate responsibility for progress, quality and total economy.
• Leadership of project teams: To lead, develop and motivate a team of project managers and ensure a high level of performance across the projects.
• Stakeholder and contract management: To handle the overarching dialogue with clients, consultants and strategic partners at top level.
• Cross-disciplinary coordination: To ensure optimal interaction between our internal structural/engineering and design office, production and installation.
• Risk management and problem solving: To be proactive regarding risk assessment, commercial optimization and quality assurance in all phases of the project.

About you

We expect that you are a trained engineer or constructor and have several years of solid experience leading large, complex building or civil engineering projects, ideally with experience from the data center sector or heavy industry.

In addition, we imagine that you

• Have documented experience leading and motivating other project managers or technical specialists.
• Are a strong negotiator with a good commercial eye and solid financial sense.
• Possess strong communication skills and be able to build trust and direction across the organization.
• Trives in a dynamic daily work with many balls in the air and international partners.
• Fluent in Danish and English in written and spoken form (knowledge of Swedish or Norwegian is a major advantage).
• Are prepared for moderate travel activity in connection with client visits and project sites.
