About us and the job

At Rybners Klimaerhvervsskole we educate the workforce of the future for the green transition in the energy sector. Our physical facilities must of course also reflect that. We are therefore in the process of realizing two large and exciting construction projects that shall support the mission of being a national beacon in the field.

The projects will be driven by a lead consultant who handles the daily design and management. Your task is not to design yourself, but to be the school's strong representative and client advisor on site.

You ensure that the lead consultant delivers in accordance with the agreements, that the schedules are kept, and that the quality meets our standards. As the buildings approach completion, you will play a central role in ensuring a structured and smooth transition, so that our own building department can take over the operation of the buildings optimally.

You will as a project manager also take on responsibility for other construction and maintenance projects across the school's four addresses. Organizationally you will become part of the school's building department reporting to the Head of Campus Service. In the position you will work very closely with the head of the building department who handles all construction and maintenance tasks for the school's total building stock of more than 80,000 m2.

Your primary areas of responsibility

• Overall project supervision: Monitor that projects progress as planned and adhere to budgets.
• Counterpart to the lead consultant: Challenge, brainstorm with and steer the external lead consultant in close collaboration with Rybners' management.
• Quality assurance: Ensure that the execution meets the stated requirements, standards and specifications.
• Delivery and handover: Lead the process at handover, defect correction and the final transfer to our internal building department.

We expect that you

• have a relevant construction-related education (e.g. building constructor or engineer)
• have solid experience in managing larger construction projects and know the construction phases from A-Z
• are used to working with consultants, contractors, tradespeople, and collaborating with internal departments
• are solution-oriented and persistent when challenges arise
• can maintain an overview, make timely decisions and communicate clearly across the organization
• work in a structured way with quality assurance and handover procedures
• can incorporate sustainable, climate-friendly and energy-conscious solutions into the projects.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the collective agreement representing your education. Building constructors and engineers are employed according to the applicable Circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics in the state.

Building constructors are classified depending on experience in the salary range of DKK 332,306-422,491 annually. In addition there is an 18.07% fully employer-paid pension. There may also be the possibility to negotiate allowances based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Engineers are classified depending on experience in the salary range of DKK 340,573-442,529 annually. In addition there is an 18,07% fully employer-paid pension. There may also be the possibility to negotiate allowances based on relevant experience and qualifications.

The place of employment includes all of Rybners’ addresses in Esbjerg.
