Experienced Project Manager for Traffic Planning and Sustainable Mobility

At SYSTRA Denmark we are looking for an engaged and experienced project manager to strengthen our team of traffic planners in the Road & Planning department. Here you will become part of a dynamic team where you will help drive projects, develop client relationships and strengthen our position especially towards municipal clients.

Context

SYSTRA is a leading international consulting company focusing on infrastructure, mobility and sustainable solutions. In Denmark we advise municipalities, traffic authorities, utility companies and national authorities, and we also contribute to larger cross-disciplinary infrastructure projects.

You will become part of a strong professional environment within traffic and mobility planning, where we work with everything from mobility strategies, safe school routes and sustainable traveler behavior to analyses, action plans and concrete projects in areas such as noise, traffic flow and urban development. You will also experience close collaboration with our road design colleagues in the department, just as we place high emphasis on cross-disciplinary collaboration with our other colleagues at SYSTRA.

Missions/Main Duties

As a project manager you will be responsible for leading and developing tasks within traffic and mobility planning – with particular emphasis on municipal clients. You will work closely with clients, drive projects, contribute to sales and bid work and help develop our market position.

Your tasks will span broadly, but mainly include

• Lead and manage projects within traffic planning, mobility and sustainability
• Be the client’s trusted advisor and build strong relationships especially with municipal clients
• Actively contribute to proactive sales, networking and bid work
• Prepare and quality assure analyses, strategies, action plans and decision briefs
• Identify new client needs and translate them into relevant advisory services

Your daily base can be in Copenhagen, Aarhus or Horsens – depending on what suits you best.

Profile/Skills

Experienced project manager with strong customer focus and desire to develop the market

We are looking for a senior profile with solid and broad experience in traffic planning and a clear motivation for client contact, networking and business development.

We imagine that you have

• Relevant academic education, for example as a civil engineer, diplomingeniør, cand.techn.soc. or similar
• Several years of experience as a project manager within traffic planning, mobility or similar
• Experience with advisory work for municipalities and preferably other public customers
• Strong business understanding and a desire for proactive sales and bid writing
• Ability to build relationships, drive projects and ensure high professional quality
• Willingness to share knowledge and develop with your less experienced colleagues
• Familiarity with analysis tools
• Curiosity about new tools and technologies
• Good Danish and English skills, written and spoken
