Experienced Deckhand for NH Towage A/S

We are a Danish shipping company based in Svendborg with almost 50 years of experience in towing and maritime transport tasks. From our roots in the south Funen maritime environment, we have developed into an international specialist in towing, sea transport and maritime projects worldwide.

About the position As a deckhand you will be an important part of the crew on our modern tugboats. The work is varied and includes both deck work and technical tasks in the engine room.

Your primary duties will include, among others

• Mooring work and participation in towing operations
• Operation and maintenance of the ship's equipment
• Engine room duties and work in the machine room
• Maintenance of machinery and technical installations
• Adherence to safety procedures and maritime regulations
• Contribute to safe and efficient operations onboard
• Guidance and support for less experienced colleagues

We expect that you

• Are a trained deckhand
• Have experience from similar positions
• Have good knowledge of the engine room and engine duties
• Can work independently and take responsibility
• Have a valid medical certificate without restrictions
• Have a valid seaman’s book, passport and necessary certificates
• Thrive in a strong team and contribute positively to the work environment

You may, for example, be an experienced deckhand, boatswain or have an engineering background. The most important is that you want to work with both the maritime and technical tasks onboard.
