Relievers - Experienced Ship's Assistant

We are seeking on-call replacements for positions as Experienced ship's assistant who are interested in being on call for our two ships that sail between Copenhagen and Oslo. The shifts can range from a couple of days to a full on-call period of 14 days. We employ assistants both in the engine room and on deck, so please indicate in your application if you are interested in both areas or would prefer to be attached to one of the two departments.

About the position As an on-call ship's assistant you will be an important part of our operations crew and contribute to the daily operation and maintenance of our two mini-cruise ships that sail between Copenhagen and Oslo. You will work closely with navigators and/or engineers and other colleagues in an international and dynamic environment where safety and teamwork are top priority.

Dine primære ansvarsområder

• Daily operation and monitoring of machine and technical systems
• Maintenance and cleaning in the engine room
• Assist with repairs and fault finding
• Participation in fire and safety drills
• Refueling and handling of oil and lubricants
• Recording and reporting of technical observations
• General duties in the engine department

Vi forventer, at du

• Has a valid basic safety training (STCW)
• Has a valid qualification as a ship's assistant for both deck and engine (STCW II/5 and III/5)
• Has a valid passport, medical certificate and seaman’s book
• Is reliable, flexible and has a positive attitude
• Thrives with physical work and teamwork
• Speaks and understands Scandinavian and English
