About the job
Do you want to make a difference?
If you are educated as a social and health care assistant, you set a high professional standard for health care, and you thrive with responsibility, independent tasks and with teaching and sharing your knowledge with others? Then maybe it’s you we’re looking for for our Mobile Health Team.
Your tasks
Your tasks will primarily be health-related. The team mainly handles acute tasks, but can also, by agreement, be called in for planned courses.
- wound care and wound treatment
- placement of a nutritional tube and catheter
- injections and medication management, including medication review in FMK
- palliative care and support for acute illness in the citizen
- teaching and training of staff at the services in simple health-related tasks
- guidance and professional sparring on observations and health care issues
- consultation by phone or in person. As a rule we prefer to conduct a clinical assessment by personal attendance when possible
The team assesses and prioritizes acute tasks. Your role as a rule includes direct health care tasks. Nursing tasks are included only when they are part of the assessment of the citizen’s current condition. You must be able to make independent decisions and document your professional assessments and priorities.
About Mobile Health Team
Mobile Health Team was established as a four-year project in spring 2022 with a central task of strengthening the quality of health care at care facilities. The project was made permanent in January 2026, and from January 2027 the team’s coverage area expands to the entire Social Administration – including both adult care facilities and services in the child and youth area.
The team’s core task is to strengthen the health care effort in the evenings and on weekends. You will be part of a team consisting of nurses and social and health care assistants, where we share professional knowledge and learn from each other.
Citizen at the center
You meet citizens with physical and mental functional impairments who live in care facilities or in their own home. Our goal is to support the citizens’ possibilities to live the best possible life and have a good quality of life.
Citizens have different needs for pedagogical and health care support. At the individual services you collaborate with among others pedagogues, nurses, social- and health care helpers, social- and health care assistants and care workers. The permanent staff know the citizens and can contribute with important knowledge, dialogue and sparring.
Good framework in the job
- opportunity to influence and develop an important function in a team in development
- a varied and meaningful working day with a high degree of responsibility and independence
- the team’s base is located on Islands Brygge, and tasks are carried out at services throughout Copenhagen Municipality
- you use the team’s car in connection with the tasks
- a professional learning environment with a feedback culture, where we stay updated and share our knowledge
- trust-based leadership and a thorough introduction to the tasks
- close collaboration with the geriatric team, covering citizens over 65 on weekdays during daytime, as well as the new health team in the children's area, including health visitors
About you
We are looking for someone who is educated as a social- and health care assistant, has ambitions in the health care area and thrives with taking responsibility.
We expect that you
- can work independently, take professional responsibility and make decisions
- have good communication skills and can collaborate with citizens, relatives and colleagues
- can document your observations and professional assessments as well as work with health plans. Familiarity with Domus is an advantage
- actively contribute to the interdisciplinary collaboration, knowledge sharing and a good working environment
- are comfortable with IT and can express yourself well both orally and in writing
- have a driving license
It is not a requirement that you have experience from the disability or psychiatric field – neither in adult nor in child area. The most important is that you want to learn the area and bring your health care competencies into play.
Employment terms
The position is full-time. The working hours are fixed in evening shifts 14:00-22:00, and you have every second weekend off.
We try as far as possible to adapt the work schedule to your wishes and needs, so there is room for your leisure and family life. It can e.g. be a 7-7 rotation or the traditional 5-2 rotation.
The position is desired to be filled from 1 January 2027. Employment is conditional on satisfactory references and a clean criminal record.
