Facilities Service Technician at Design School Kolding

Designskolen Kolding seeks a property service technician who can ensure the daily operation and maintenance of the school's buildings, technical installations and outdoor areas. The position combines practical and administrative tasks with service to the school's students, staff and visitors.

About the position

You will work in close collaboration with the school's service and events manager and be responsible for the daily operations and service tasks. The tasks range from building operation, maintenance and supervision of technical installations to preparing rooms and providing practical help in the house.

The everyday life is varied, and ongoing tasks arise that require flexibility, an overview and the ability to find good solutions here and now.

Your main tasks

• Ensure that buildings and technical installations are in a legal and operationally sound condition
• Ensure compliance with the fire authorities' requirements for the buildings and their use
• Administration of the school's CTS system
• Responsible for the school's alarm and access system
• Coordination with contractors in collaboration with the service and events manager
• Responsible for the school's waste system
• Preparation of rooms on a daily basis as well as for events and visits
• Interior and exterior maintenance, including cleaning of areas and snow removal
• Administration and maintenance of the school's van
• Practical assistance to students and staff
• Training of the school's property service trainee
• On-call duty in connection with alarms and other urgent situations

Experience and education

We are looking for someone who preferably has education within property service or a technical or craft background. The most important thing is that you have the practical competencies and the technical understanding required to manage the daily building operations and solve many different types of tasks.

The position reports to the service and events manager.

Employment terms and application

This is a permanent position of 37 hours per week with start on December 1, 2026. We expect to conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.

Employment is subject to applicable collective agreement. We imagine that you follow the State contractual agreement for property service employees under the OAO-S area.
