About the job

Foodjob Nordic seeks on behalf of Carletti A/S an experienced and visible factory manager for the factory in Skødstrup. This is a well-functioning production with high performance within quality, delivery and operations. The task is to optimize and take the factory further through strong leadership, clear direction and an even better collaboration across the organisation.

The production is characterized by high tempo, many product variants, campaigns, seasonal fluctuations and ongoing changes in product mix and order requirements. This places demands on a factory manager who can work in a structured and data-based way and at the same time thrive in a reality where plans often must be adjusted quickly. Production runs on day and evening shifts, as well as a smaller night and weekend shift.

Company

Carletti A/S is located in Skødstrup near Aarhus and develops, produces and sells a wide range of chocolate and confectionery products to the Danish market, cross-border trade and for export. The company also has activities in, among others, Poland and Finland and is part of the family-owned Givesco group. Carletti is an FMCG company with strong brands, own production facilities and large ambitions for continued development.

A central leadership role close to production

As factory manager you will have the overall responsibility for daily production across shifts and production areas. You will become a visible leader in the organisation and an important unifying force for the production management group. A major task will be to strengthen collaboration across the factory and create even clearer common direction.

In particular, collaboration between production and maintenance will be an important focus area. Here you must be able to bridge different professional disciplines and create common priorities based on the overall operation. You will among other things work with:

  • daily management and development of the production
  • leadership and development of the production management team
  • visible and present leadership on the factory floor
  • continued high performance in quality, delivery and productivity
  • closer collaboration between production, maintenance and other functions
  • prioritisation and decisions in a changing production everyday
  • use of forecast, history and production data as a basis for better planning
  • development of a culture with stronger shared responsibility and team spirit.

You thrive when the pace is high

We are looking for a candidate with solid experience from production management in a complex and fast-paced organisation. You are used to not everything can be planned in advance, and that good leadership also means being able to prioritise quickly and pragmatically when reality changes. You also have an eye for where structure and data can make operations stronger and more predictable.

We expect that you

  • have several years of experience managing production and production managers
  • have worked in a production company with high tempo and many changes
  • understand the interplay between production, maintenance, quality and planning
  • are strong in daily leadership close to the organisation
  • can create direction and buy-in through clarity and involvement
  • work pragmatically and solution-oriented
  • have a natural interest in people, operations and performance.

Experience from food production, FMCG or other complex process or line production would be a clear advantage.

Your leadership style

You are visible, accessible and close to operations. You listen to different perspectives and have respect for the professional expertise that exists in the organisation, but you are also clear when direction or decisions must be made. You do not need to be the one who introduces the most systems or processes. On the other hand, you must be the one who can create common focus, stronger collaboration and buy-in in an organisation with many moving parts.

At Carletti your ability to bring people and functions together is at least as important as your technical and operational experience.
