About the job
PROJECT MANAGER – FACTSPILOT.COM
International media project · AI · Fact-checking · EU funding
Do you want to lead the development of an international media platform with ambitions to work across Europe’s countries and languages?
MinBy™ is seeking an ambitious, independent and results-oriented project manager for Factspilot.com – an international media and technology project focused on journalism, fact-checking, AI, translation and distribution of news.
We are looking for a person who can translate an ambitious idea into a concrete, funded and operational project.
A central initial task will be to research, develop and coordinate an application for the EU program Creative Europe – Journalism Partnerships , including establishing relevant European partnerships.
This is a position for someone who can combine strategic understanding, international project management, financing and practical execution .
ABOUT MINBY™ AND FACTSPILOT.COM
MinBy™ develops an extensive digital media network with 1,522 ultra-local media outlets distributed across Denmark’s 98 municipalities as well as 30 passion- and situation-based magazine concepts.
Factspilot.com is an international dimension with the aim of developing a technological platform that can support:
- Collecting and processing journalistic content from multiple countries.
- Fact-checking, source verification and documentation.
- AI-supported translation and multilingual publishing.
- Distribution of journalistic content across countries and media.
- Collaboration between journalists, newsrooms and media organizations.
- New models for international journalistic production.
The goal is to create a scalable European media infrastructure , where technology, journalistic quality and international partnerships work together.
YOUR FIRST MAJOR TASK – THE EU PROJECT
We are exploring the possibility of applying for support through Creative Europe – Journalism Partnerships .
The project’s preliminary funding framework is based on the possibility of EU support of up to EUR 2 million , depending on the specific application category and applicable conditions.
Your task will be to research and develop the basis for a qualified application.
It includes, among other things
- Project Development
- Translate Factspilot’s vision into a concrete project description.
- Define goals, activities, deliverables and success criteria.
- Prepare the project plan, milestones and timeline.
- International Partnership
- Identify relevant media companies, organizations and technology partners in Europe.
- Establish dialogue and develop collaboration agreements.
- Coordinate the division of responsibilities and contributions from project partners.
- Financing and EU Application
- Analyze the grant program’s requirements and opportunities.
- Prepare the budget, financing model and application materials.
- Document the project’s European added value, feasibility and expected results.
- Coordinate the application process up to submission.
- Technology and Editorial Development
- Collaborate with technical and editorial resources.
- Describe the platform’s features, development needs and use of AI.
- Ensure alignment between technological development and journalistic needs.
- Project Management and Implementation
- Build an operational project organization.
- Coordinate finances, resources, deliverables and reporting.
- Prepare for the project’s implementation if funding is secured.
WHO ARE YOU?
You have experience in project management, business development, international collaborations or funded development projects.
Experience with EU programs, grant applications or media projects is a significant advantage.
We place particular emphasis on you being able to
- Drive a project independently from idea to concrete result.
- Have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Develop project descriptions, budgets and financing plans.
- Excel at building relationships and establishing international collaborations.
- Master English at a high professional level.
- Understand technology, AI and digital business models.
- Work in a structured way with complex requirements and deadlines.
- Have impact, initiative and a high level of ambition.
You do not need to be a journalist or a programmer. The crucial thing is that you can understand the project’s different professional areas and get specialists to work together toward common goals.
WHAT WE OFFER
You will have the opportunity to take a central role in developing an international media project from an early stage.
We offer
- Significant influence on the project’s strategy and development.
- The opportunity to build an international network of collaborators.
- Work at the intersection of journalism, technology, AI and European funding.
- Direct collaboration with MinBy’s strategic and technical leadership.
- The opportunity to develop the role in line with the project’s funding and progress.
This is not a traditional administrative project management position.
We are looking for a person who can identify opportunities, take initiatives and create measurable results themselves.
EMPLOYMENT AND COLLABORATION
We are open to different forms of collaboration depending on the candidate’s competencies and the project’s development phase.
Workload, terms of employment and remuneration will be agreed individually.
APPLICATION AND SELECTION
We assess candidates based on their documented competencies, independence, experience and ability to deliver results.
Relevant candidates may be offered a voluntary, practical test assignment based on Factspilot and the specific opportunities for European project funding.
We emphasize that you can demonstrate how you would approach a complex task – not just describe your past experiences.
