About the job

Are you a trained electrician with solid industry knowledge and experience with young people in the role of either mentor, advisor or instructor? Then look here!

Right now we are seeking a skilled school-based training instructor for our electrician education in Odense.

The school-based training program is for apprentices who have completed the basic training course 2 and are on their way to finding an apprenticeship in a company. The students attend a school-based apprenticeship practice (SOP), as they have not yet entered into an education agreement – or if they have, for various reasons, have lost the apprenticeship they had.

In the SOP, the apprentices work on tasks they could have been given in a company, and which align with the academic goals of the practical part of the education, and you as an SOP instructor will act as the master of their training.

The role as SOP instructor will be your primary role, but there may period-wise also be a need for you to handle teaching tasks in the electrician education's foundation course 1 and 2.

Your new workplace

As SOP instructor on the electrician education in Odense you will be part of the RTA department (the discipline Robot, Technology and Automation), which also houses the educations of a fitter, automation technician, industrial technician and toolmaker. We work purposefully to enhance our students’ professional skills, and we have a strong focus on new technology and sustainability in collaboration with industry.

As SOP instructor you can look forward to exciting professional and pedagogical challenges! You will work closely with teachers, company consultants and workshop assistants – as well as with the entire school’s building department in relation to the students’ tasks, and you will participate in external collaborations. You will have ample opportunity to leave your mark on both the content of the position and the future electricians and automation technicians.

Are you our new colleague?

We are looking for someone who is good at planning tasks and organizing a workday for young people. Professional guidance, support for and follow-up on the students is your most important task, so that they reach the set academic goals in their school-practice program.

You are

  • A skilled electrician with several years of relevant industry experience
  • Open and outgoing, eager to work with young people and find it exciting to challenge them both professionally and personally
  • Structured and good at organizing daily work and keen to familiarize yourself with regulations and other rules in the field
  • Engaged, warm, humorous and flexible in collaboration with both colleagues and students

Employment

The position is full-time with salary and employment according to the Ministry of Education’s notice in a civil-service-like position. Pay is on base salary grade 1-7. Starting salary negotiated based on, among other things, previous teaching experience. In addition, there is an 18% pension scheme.

Workplace is in Odense. The working hours are 37 hours per week on average, including breaks.

If you do not already have sufficient pedagogical prerequisites, you must have earned a diploma in vocational pedagogy or adult education within 4 years of employment, according to the school's assessment. The pedagogical diploma is included in the employment and takes place during working hours.

All interested applicants with a relevant profile are encouraged to apply.

Send your application with documentation of your education via sde.dk/ledigestillinger so we have it no later than 16.11-2026 at 23:59.

Start date: 1 January 2027 – or as soon as possible after agreement

Interviews will be conducted in weeks 47 and 48.

In the event of a second interview a case may be included.

References will also be collected after further agreement if needed.
