Examples of tasks and areas of responsibility

As a consultant in Economics and Planning, your primary task is to provide competent financial, administrative and strategic support for department management and the health and hospital management. You are also a contact person for 2-4 hospital departments/department management in relation to financial and planning tasks. One of the departments will presumably be Psychiatry.

For example, you could encounter the following tasks

  • Implementation of local and regional decisions and change initiatives
  • Preparation and coordination of consultation processes
  • Secretarial support for various meeting forums
  • Tasks related to the health reform.

A typical day may consist of going into the details and analyzing data for budget follow-up, or preparing a briefing for political decision-making on a matter, so you are challenged in communication and argumentation. You may also be involved in driving a project in close collaboration with colleagues from the clinical side.

The concrete tasks and areas of responsibility will, as far as possible, be adapted to your competences and wishes.

  • Can work in a structured way and handle several parallel projects.
  • Can translate data and analyses into concrete decision-making basis
  • Have good collaboration skills and can navigate in an organization with many stakeholders
  • Thrive in a role with both development tasks and operational tasks
  • Contribute to ensuring task-based coordination among other staff members who support the department
  • Participate in secretarial support of selected meeting forums
