Matchbiler is a family-owned car dealership with roots back to 1989 and a well-established position in the eastern Jutland car market. The company employs around 50 employees and works with sales, leasing and service of both new and used cars. Matchbiler is an authorized dealer of, among others, Mazda, Suzuki, Changan and GAC Aion.

Since 2007, Matchbiler has been based in Viby near Aarhus, where the company today occupies roughly 3,400 m² with showroom, workshop and administration. Over the years, Matchbiler has built a strong position in the market and was named the City’s Best Car Dealer in both 2025 and 2026.

Matchbiler has ambitions for continued growth and works purposefully to develop the business. Digitisation, automation and the use of new technologies, including AI, are central focus areas where the company continually explores possibilities to streamline workflows and create smarter solutions. At the same time, Matchbiler has several other projects and initiatives underway, which help create new opportunities for the company.

A central role with an exciting future perspective

As a financial employee at Matchbiler you will have a versatile role, combining daily financial operations with development and optimization of the company’s financial processes. The position is newly created with a clear ambition that within the coming years you will step into the role of CFO and take overall responsibility for the finance function.

You will become part of a small finance team, where you will work closely with the current head of accounting and act as a strong sparring partner for the rest of the management. You will have the opportunity to get to know the business thoroughly and gradually take on greater responsibility.

Your tasks span broadly from daily bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable management, reconciliations and month-end closing, to VAT, financial follow-up, controlling and reporting. You will also play an important role in ensuring the quality of the financial data and creating a solid basis for the company’s decisions.

A substantial part of the position will also involve challenging existing workflows, identifying improvement opportunities and working with digitization and automation that can create more efficient processes in daily operations. Depending on your experience and interests, the role may also include tasks within HR, ESG and compliance.

You combine financial overview with development and responsibility

We imagine that you have solid experience in finance, bookkeeping and accounting, preferably from a small or medium-sized company. You have a strong professional foundation in bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial closing, and it is advantageous if you have experience with controlling, reporting, budget follow-up or knowledge of payroll administration.

You have strong Excel skills, good system understanding and a natural flair and interest for digital solutions. At the same time you may have experience in optimizing or automating workflows and are motivated by finding new and smarter ways to work. You do not need to be a specialist in AI or automation, but you should be keen to contribute actively to the development of the finance function.

As a person you are structured, responsible and thorough. You thrive with a broad task portfolio where you can both dive into the details and maintain an overview of the bigger contexts. At the same time you are curious, forward-thinking and have a natural interest in the business behind the numbers. You dare to challenge existing workflows, think in new possibilities and have visions for how the finance function can develop in the future.

You work independently, but also value collaboration with colleagues across the organization. The most important thing is that you want to engage with the business and are motivated by the opportunity to take on greater responsibility.
