Finance Assistant for General Ledger

Perhaps you are at the start of your career. Perhaps you already have a couple of years of experience in a finance function and are ready for the next step.

At Nic. Christiansen Gruppen we are looking for a Finance Assistant for our General Ledger team in Kolding. Here you will have your own areas of responsibility and become part of a larger Finance organization where there are good opportunities to learn more and develop along the way.

You don\'t need to know everything from day one. Instead, we expect you to be curious, take responsibility and want to become more skilled.

A daily life with responsibility and room to do things smarter

In Group Finance you will be part of a professional environment with around 60 colleagues. Your immediate team is General Ledger, where six colleagues work with the financial transactions across the group.

As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for a number of the daily processes. Reconciliations and payments will be a natural part of your daily life, but the job is not only about getting the numbers to balance. We are also focused on how we can make our processes simpler and more efficient.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Post and reconcile the bank\'s receipts and payments
• Handle manual and automatic payments
• Post and reconcile cash
• Investigate and resolve questions regarding bank transactions
• Contribute to developing and digitizing our processes
• Ensure that the daily tasks are completed correctly and on time

You will of course receive a thorough introduction to the tasks. As you become familiar with the area, you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and develop further within Finance.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant economic or financial education. Experience from bookkeeping or a finance function is an advantage, but we are also open to you who are relatively new to the job market and have the right professional foundation.

You have a basic understanding of accounting and preferably knowledge of VAT. It comes natural to you to work in a structured way, and you care that your work is correct.

At the same time you may be curious about the way we work. If you notice something that can be made simpler or smarter, we would like to hear it.

As a colleague you are helpful and take responsibility for your tasks. You can work independently, but you also value having a team around you where you ask each other for advice and help when needed.
