Finance Consultant Wanted for a Vacant Position at DAB-Lejerbo

Your role

As a central part of property administration, your primary role is to prepare and present budgets and accounts. You collaborate with other colleagues in the department and organization, and you are an important part of ensuring financial overview and transparency.

Here is a selection of the tasks that await you

• Preparation of accounts and budgets for DAB-Lejerbo’s housing divisions and organizations.
• Ongoing contact with external auditors
• Analyses and controlling across housing divisions and organizations
• Contact with partners, Landsbyggefonden and others.
• Ongoing ad-hoc tasks in connection with the above as well as other tasks across these (advising, preparation of project accounts, construction accounts, grant schemes, etc.)

We are looking for you who

• Have an economic or accounting background – industry knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Have solid experience with financial management and have knowledge of financing and calculations.
• Have a good knowledge of Excel – it is a plus if you also know EG Bolig but not a requirement.
• Can prioritize your tasks and work in a systematic and structured manner.
• Are used to handling tight deadlines, and perform your work carefully with attention to both details and the whole.

Unlike the private sector, where you typically work with a more limited part of the accounts, you will be responsible for the entire accounting process from start to finish. That means a broader range of tasks, and that you have a holistic approach to financial management. Therefore, you must be motivated to learn and understand the way we do things.

You understand the particular framework conditions that characterize a politically governed environment, where resident democracy is central, and it is the board that has the final decision-making authority.

Who are we

From 1 June 2025, DAB and Lejerbo are one administration organization named DAB-Lejerbo. Both have since the 1940s been strong and attractive partners for social housing organizations.

In DAB-Lejerbo we have centrally positioned competencies in, among other things, new construction, renovation, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, development of resident democracy, educational activities, communities, landscape care, biodiversity, energy management, financing, and more.

With our size we have gained a robustness and development power that is necessary in a time with increasing demands for documentation, digitization, and the implementation of new rules and laws.

We are non-profit, and the homes are owned by the member organizations. For us, housing administration is about more than buildings – it is about people’s homes and about strengthening resident democracy, which is a cornerstone for us.

We want to be the strongest professional administration organization in the country, which also in the future is a relevant partner for resident democracy in both large and small housing organizations.
