Financial Controller

Do you want to make a difference at AP Pension? We are seeking a skilled and engaged Financial Controller who wishes to contribute to the development of our finance function and ensure high quality in our financial processes.

About the position

As Financial Controller you will be part of the Finance Accounting, which is a central function in the Finance area at AP Pension. The department consists of 8 employees who work closely together to ensure high quality in our financial processes and deliveries. You will be part of a developing department where job satisfaction, collaboration and professional sparring are a natural part of everyday life. We are a team with high professional standards where we see it as a core task to ensure that things are correct – for the benefit of our customers and for the business.

We are in the process of replacing our core system with Festina Finance and implementing it gradually over the next few years. As the Finance system we use Business Central, and we have a strong focus on leveraging the system's capabilities and optimizing through digitization, automation and continuous process improvements.

We are looking for a professionally skilled colleague, who is motivated by routine tasks but also wants to help develop and optimize systems and processes. You are curious in your approach, see opportunities rather than limitations and dare to challenge existing workflows with new perspectives and ideas.

Responsibilities

Your tasks will include among other things

• Control of ongoing disbursements, including reporting of b-income, etc.
• Advising and sparring with colleagues across different areas, such as accident outlays, taxes, duties and accounting questions
• Handling of creditors and other disbursements (registration, payment, reconciliation, etc.)
• Participate in the work to ensure correct accounting of postings from the core system Festina Finance, as well as the work to be able to follow the cash flow in the system
• Participate in updates of Business Central and the processes around it
• Ongoing improvements of processes and tools.

Your profile

We imagine that you have a relevant financial education such as Cand.merc., HD(R) or equivalent, combined with solid practical experience, preferably from the pension industry.

You are professionally skilled, work in a structured way and take responsibility for your tasks. At the same time you thrive in an environment where development, collaboration and continuous improvements are a natural part of everyday life. You are motivated both by ensuring high quality in the daily operations and by contributing to the development and optimization of processes and systems.

We emphasise that you

• Have solid experience from a finance function in the financial sector – preferably the pension industry
• Experience with financial processes including bookkeeping, disbursements, reporting and reconciliations
• Are a power user of Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Are a power user of Microsoft Excel
• Are motivated to contribute to the development of the future finance processes
• Are structured, responsible and have a good understanding of both detail and the whole
• Thrive with both fixed tasks and development projects.

In addition, it is important that you are good at collaborating and able to build good relationships and work constructively with colleagues across the department and across the entire AP organization.
