About us

Firkløverskolen is a public school with approx. 700 students distributed over a general program and a special program located at 3 departments:

• Givskud and Ikær, where students attend 0th–6th grade with the associated SFO.
• Søndermarken, where we gather students in 7th–9th grade.
• The Special Department is located at Ikær and Søndermarken

At Firkløverskolen we create a good framework around the children's entire daily life. We believe that all children and youth can learn, and that they develop in community with others. Children and youth fundamentally do the best they can, and children and youth participate in learning communities if they can. We focus on children's potentials and resources. Firkløverskolen has about 45 students in total in the special provision. The students are divided into age-integrated classes in 0-3 years, 4-6 years and 7-9 years. There is a focus on giving both the group of students and the individual student what is particularly needed. This applies to both personal development, functioning in a social community and academic learning.

Across the special departments, we work to create and develop a child and youth culture, where we adapt and develop communities, environments and teaching in a meaningful universe where it is good to be and to learn.

In the Ikær department our provision is for students in foundational school and lower secondary, totalling about 23 students distributed in two classes with 12 staff. Here we are seeking an educator for SFO and. Our special SFO counts about 20 children.

We are in this period preparing and carrying out a move for our special provision to foundational and middle school. The special provision is currently located at the Elkjær site in Grønbjerg. The move will take place just before the new year and the department will therefore be located at Ikær from the new year.

The expected distribution between SFO and school time will be 65% school and 35% SFO.

About the job

The work with the target group is characterized by high complexity. The students' different needs place great demands on your pedagogical professionalism.

You must in interaction be focused on seeing the student's best intention and taking qualified action and balancing between supporting appropriately without supporting too much.

There is always teamwork and it is important you have curiosity about the pedagogical field and a desire to develop yourself in collaboration with colleagues.

It is clearly advantageous to have experience with students in vulnerable positions and/or powerlessness. It is also beneficial if you have experience within the special educational field for children and youth and knowledge of general learning difficulties, ADHD and Autism.

We focus on creating a learning environment where students thrive and look after one another. The goal is that all students get optimal opportunities to learn and become as academically proficient as they can and gain good preconditions for life. We create the framework for our students to participate in the communities they are part of, and to be able to respect each others' strengths and challenges. All students should leave the school with a high degree of self-esteem.

You will be part of a team that has full responsibility for the task with the student group. The team consists of experienced and skilled teachers and educators. The team needs to supplement itself with capable colleagues with strong interest in and insight into the special educational work. You will join the team that takes care of students in the age group 0-6 years.

In the special department we are focused on developing our offering in collaboration, with particular focus on relationships, structure and mentalization. We actively work with Vejle Municipality's "Strategy for Developing Communities". We work based on an educational framework where harmonized pedagogy and mentalization are the two central directions.

Employment terms

There are fixed full-time positions with start date 1 January 2027. Employment takes place according to the collective agreement for pedagogues in day care institutions, after-school programs, clubs, etc., §§4-9. The expected starting salary for full-time and excluding pension is 34,231 DKK / lies in the interval 34,231 to 39,881 DKK depending on seniority. It is noted that final placement, including collective agreement basis and salary level, is determined on the basis of your education and qualifications and the specific offered position.
