Flight Operations Officer

Air Greenland is an airline in rapid development, and with the development follows ongoing recruitment for both existing and new positions. Therefore we are looking for you who are interested in joining a dynamic team in the department that helps to lift air traffic in Nuuk.

About the position: As Flight Operations Officer in our Operation Control Center (OCC) you, together with your 12 colleagues, will be responsible for maintaining operational control for the entire Air Greenland fleet. This involves ensuring aircraft and crew for the planned traffic schedule, monitoring the fleet, preparing new traffic plans in case of irregularities, and keeping all stakeholders informed of deviations from the schedule

Your work and responsibilities

Participate in the daily traffic allocation and schedule flight departures and duty rosters in close cooperation with the technical department, station staff, freight staff and crew members

• Monitor crew members' duty time and ensure recording of these
• Ensure that all crew members have valid licenses, medical and training
• Maintain close contact with the technical department and record all deviations from planned traffic
• Initiate EMS in case of incident/accident

Your qualifications

·Education that can be used to become employed as OCC is either Flight Dispatcher, Dispatcher, AFIS operator, Traffic assistant or Logistics education

• Flexible, calm in stressful situations, cooperative and communicative
• Structured, precise, solution-oriented and compliance with legislation and agreements
• Understanding of flight time limitations, regulations and manuals
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently
• Flair for IT and proficiency in English in writing and speaking at a high level

Salary and employment terms: The remuneration will be in accordance with the requirements of the position in line with Air Greenland's agreement with HK Service Hovedstaden.
