About the job

Do you have an eye for detail, an interest in legislation and a desire to make a difference for the citizens, then you have the opportunity to become our new colleague in the Citizen Service in Skanderborg Municipality

Citizen Service is part of the staff for Finance, Digitalisation and Procurement, and consists of 11 skilled employees, spread across different teams.

We are seeking a new colleague to the Civil Registration Team, where you will play an important role in ensuring correct registrations in CPR. You will also play a central role in the collaboration with the municipality's Control Group on clarifying residence and registration matters.

Your daily work will include both professional deepening, authority tasks and contact with citizens, businesses and other authorities, as well as collaboration with good colleagues.

We are looking for someone who thrives on finding solutions in cases where thoroughness, sound judgement and a proper dialogue with the citizen are crucial.

About Citizens Service and your tasks

You will become part of the Civil Registry Team in Citizen Service, which consists of 4 employees, of whom the other 3 also handle other tasks.

Your task is to ensure that the information in CPR is correct and up-to-date. Correct registrations are important both for the individual citizen and for the public authorities that use the information.

Your daily work will be varied and include both professional deepening, written case processing and direct dialogue with citizens and partners. You will have independent responsibility for your cases, but you are not alone. We support each other and share knowledge when a case requires multiple perspectives.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • civil registry tasks under the CPR Act including
  • handling of move notices and address changes
  • cases of immigration, emigration and deregistration of former residents
  • control of residence conditions and follow-up on concrete cases
  • requesting and assessing information so that decisions are made on a solid basis
  • due process, decisions and other written case processing
  • guidance to citizens, businesses and partners
  • cooperation with other municipalities and state authorities in control and clarification cases
  • close collaboration with the municipality's Control Group

About you and your qualifications

You do not need to know everything in advance, but it is not a drawback if you are an expert in the civil registry area 😊

The most important thing is, however, that you want to work in public authority tasks and enjoy digging into each individual case thoroughly.

We place emphasis on that you

  • have experience with public administration or case handling. If you have experience from the civil registry area, that is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • are interested in legislation, administrative law and correct case processing
  • work in a structured, independent way with attention to detail and context
  • can assess different information and make professionally justified decisions
  • communicate clearly – both verbally and in writing
  • can explain rules and decisions in a way the citizen can understand
  • meet citizens with respect and propriety, even when you do not necessarily agree
  • want to share knowledge, spar with colleagues and contribute to a strong professional community
  • contribute positively and with humor to a good working environment

We offer

  • colleagues you can consult about both everyday and more complex cases
  • a meaningful daily life where your contribution makes a difference for citizens
  • a thorough introduction to the civil registry area and our workflows
  • opportunity for ongoing development of your professional skills
  • independent responsibility for your cases combined with a strong professional community
  • a workplace focused on trust, collaboration, job satisfaction and not least humor
  • flexibility and the possibility of balancing work and private life
  • modern facilities at Skanderborg Fælled
