About the job

Would you like to work with planning helicopter maintenance, and would you play a central role in ensuring a stable operation of helicopters and thus contribute to Helicopter Wing's ability to carry out its tasks?

We are looking for new colleagues who can join our planning team, which plans maintenance of Helicopter Wing's helicopters.

We offer a varied daily life that requires initiative and a solution-oriented approach – especially now, when there is full speed ahead in the development of the Air Force. If you want to contribute positively, then Helicopter Wing is the right place for you.

About us

We believe that diversity, cross-unit collaboration and professional boundaries, and not least a safe shared workplace create efficiency in solving tasks. You will therefore become part of a good team of about 30 engaged colleagues who jointly solve tasks with meaning.

We are a certified Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation, responsible for ensuring that our fleet at all times complies with applicable aviation rules and safety standards. Our organization works closely with maintenance providers, authorities and operators to guarantee the highest level of flight safety. In practice, this means that we are responsible for planning and ensuring the execution of all maintenance on the aircraft types EH101, AS-550, MH-60R and T-17.

About the position

As one of our new workshop foremen you will, together with your closest colleagues, participate in the daily work with planning maintenance on Helicopter Wing's helicopters.

The work will take place in close collaboration with the users of the aircraft and the workshop, which is why there is a need for a solution-oriented mindset. We are looking for workshop foremen for various areas, so we take your possible preferences for helicopter type as well as your competences into account, so that we jointly create a good match from the start.

The duties of the position include among other things

  • Coordinating and planning the maintenance of the flying capabilities at Helicopter Wing while ensuring that the ongoing airworthiness remains intact
  • Monitoring the helicopters' maintenance program to ensure that all necessary maintenance is planned and carried out in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the preparation of production agreements that form the basis for the workshop's execution of inspections on the helicopters
  • Quality assurance of inspection documentation received from the workshop

About you

Your educational background is not decisive, but you must have a relevant technical basic education such as aircraft mechanic, auto mechanic or similar. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of aircraft maintenance, as well as experience with coordination and planning, for example as a workshop supervisor or production planner.

We expect

  • Interest in technology and planning
  • Ability to understand technical documentation and translate it into practice
  • Knowledge of and preferably experience with Microsoft Excel and SAP
  • You master Danish and English in both writing and speech
  • You are structured and can plan your own tasks
  • Willingness to learn new things and contribute to the community

Employment terms

The employment is conducted in accordance with the current Common Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Teachers’ Central Organisation and CO10 – The Central Organisation of 2010 and the Organisation Agreement between the Defence Ministry’s Personnel Agency and CO10 and the Central Association for Civil Servants for civilian employees under the Defence Ministry’s authority area within the Central Association for Civil Servants’ negotiating area (formerly the Defence Civil Service).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is a possibility for negotiating additional pay. There is an employer-funded pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Karup.

As an employee under the Defence Ministry’s area you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain a security clearance and maintain the security clearance throughout the entire employment.

You have as an employee an obligation to render service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacemaking, humanitarian and other similar operations.
