Foster care and placement consultant in Faxe Municipality

As a family foster care and placement consultant you must, in close collaboration with the authority advisors, have a strong focus on when the purpose of the placement has been achieved and thereby work towards the good return home or an alternative transition to less intrusive measures.

The Placement and Family Foster Care Team is seeking a professionally strong and engaged family foster care and placement consultant for a full-time position with commencement on December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

About the position

As a family foster care and placement consultant, your primary tasks will be to identify potential foster families and approve network foster families, find the right match between child and foster family, and advise, guide, supervise and support the foster families and network foster families in their work with the child or the young person.

You will work closely with child and youth advisers in both the disability, children and youth areas, as well as with other partners. The tasks also include follow-up, ongoing supervision, contracts, agreements and negotiations, as well as contributing to quality and financial management in the placement area.

The position is organized in the Authority within the Center for Children, Youth and Families, where we work based on the intentions in the Children's Act and with reference to the goals in the child’s or the young person’s plan.

In the Municipality of Faxe we are working on our development plan for the family area, which is an exciting and developing process, where extra resources have been allocated to strengthen the area. Among other things, there is a focus on creating better basic conditions for foster families and reducing the use of residential care facilities. We are also conducting LØFT training together with the entire authority in the family area.

In addition, we are in good collaboration with Taskforce from Housing and the National Board of Social Services and the National Social Appeals Board and VISO, which help us ensure development in our quality and standardized practice. About you

You have a social-pedagogical or social work education and preferably relevant further education, e.g., in supervision. You have experience from the children and youth field and special knowledge about placed children and young people.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary is determined according to the applicable collective agreement and the rules for New Pay.
