About the job

Would you like to be a central part of coordinating the rapid physical transformation in Husum Nord and work closely with colleagues on development in Tingbjerg? Then you are the one we are looking for.

In the Area of Urban Development in the City of Copenhagen we are seeking a new colleague with understanding and interest in construction projects to become part of a strong team that works with deprived urban areas, social housing, housing-related comprehensive plans and transformation plans.

The overall purpose of the position is to contribute to ensuring that deprived urban areas are attractive and safe places to live and move about. We think this makes the work with us particularly relevant. If you thrive on both coordinating, creating progress and keeping an overview while being able to serve management and politicians, then this position is for you.

Husum Nord is undergoing rapid physical change and in the coming years will be affected by several major construction projects, including the urban development area Bystævneparken, renovations in the social housing estates, major infrastructural changes and upcoming projects initiated by the transformation plan for Husum Nord and Area Renewal.

With the forthcoming transformation there is a need to focus on how development can take place most gently in relation to the area and its residents.

About you

We imagine that you have a background as an architect or a social science education or similar – and you want to work with coordination tasks related to construction and civil engineering projects. It would be an advantage if you have experience with development of urban and housing areas and for example have insight into urban planning. What is important is that you have technical understanding that enables you to understand physical plans, engage with professionals and further convey the plans.

We attach importance to you meeting several of the following points

  • You are persistent, take responsibility and are good at creating an overview
  • You have good written and spoken communication skills
  • You are solution-oriented and know that collaboration is the best strategy
  • You are confident and trustworthy in the role of meeting and process leader
  • You can understand and convey physical plans and can collaborate with different professional groups
  • You have an interest in the social housing sector and the actors in the social housing sector as well as knowledge of the problems characteristic of deprived urban areas
  • You have an interest in – and preferably experience with – development of the physical framework in urban and housing areas and for example insight into urban planning
  • You have experience with everyday life and the framework in a politically governed organization

We offer

  • A versatile job in a dynamic organization where professional and personal opportunities go hand in hand
  • An unit where there is both room to grow, good humor and great professional insight
  • Great influence on your own work and ample room for cross-disciplinary sparring
  • A workplace located centrally in Copenhagen
