Gisselfeld Monastery Agriculture seeks an apprentice in crop production, starting 1 February 2027

For Gisselfeld Klosters Landbrug we are seeking an apprentice with a strong interest in crop production and machinery. You should be well underway with the training to become a farmer, preferably EUX – but this is not a requirement. A little about the position

In the position as agricultural apprentice, the main emphasis will be on crop production, so your interest and focus should be on being able to manage and develop your skills in various machine tasks, including the use of new technologies.

In daily operations, newer machines with the latest technology from the John Deere brand are used. There are also very good production facilities for handling seed and grain production. In addition to the many traditional tasks in farming, there are also service tasks for the other areas of operation, including service and maintenance tasks in our own workshop.

Under the agriculture area there are a total of 1,500 ha, cultivated with seed production, sugar beets, malt barley, bread grain, wheat, as well as the operation and management of large grass and nature areas

We expect that you are

• Mature and at least 18 years old and in possession of a category B driving licence.
• EUx graduates, but not a requirement, or currently pursuing agricultural education and having completed the 1st main course
• Positively oriented and with good mood – even in a busy daily routine
• Responsible and has good collaboration skills
• Engaged and possessing a sense of order, and willing and eager to learn
• Willing to, and find it natural to keep order on machines, tools and surroundings, so they appear presentable
• Able to work independently and take on responsibility appropriate to your education level, but also to be part of a team

We expect that you have completed

• 1st main course / EUX program

Work tasks

• Driving and maintenance of larger agricultural and construction equipment
• Drainage tasks
• Operations of the farm
• Contribute to the operation of the overall business
