About the job

Do you want to help protect critical energy infrastructure at the heart of the green transition? Are you energised by working directly with local businesses across Europe, understanding their challenges and mobilising the right expertise to solve them?

Who we are

Eurowind Energy is a global and leading developer, owner and operator of energy parks. Based in Denmark, we operate in 16 countries around Europe and in the USA, and we are continuously growing our project portfolio. We believe in a future of renewable energy, and we have an ambitious plan of becoming the next generation's "Power Major". Based on a full value chain from greenfield project development to energy trading, more than 700 team members are dedicated to creating a greener future fueled with nothing but renewable energy!

We are looking for an experienced Global Cyber Security Consultant to join our team in Hobro, Denmark.

As an operator of critical energy infrastructure, cybersecurity is a vital part of how we protect our business, our partners and the communities we serve. As Eurowind continues to grow and adapt to an evolving threat landscape and regulatory requirements such as NIS2, we are strengthening security as an integrated part of the organisation – in every market where we operate.

You will join our Group Cyber and Information Security team – a small, senior team supporting a global organisation, anchored directly with the CISO. Cyber and information security is delivered centrally from Group headquarters to all our markets, and we do not scale through headcount alone, but through expertise, smart automation and AI. That means real ownership, meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to shape how security is delivered across Eurowind.

Your role

This is a new and highly visible role. As Group Cyber Security Advisor, you are Group Cyber and Information Security’s face in our 14 markets. You build trusted relationships with country management and site teams – remotely and, when it adds value, on site – and uncover where they need help within cyber and information security – from regulatory compliance and supplier risk to securing operational technology at our energy parks.

You will not solve everything yourself, and you are not expected to. Behind you stands the full Group organisation: security operations, architecture, GRC and legal specialists who deliver the concrete solutions. Your job is to identify the need, activate the right expertise at headquarters, and support the local organisation through implementation – so our markets get consistent, high-quality security support from within the Group instead of relying on external consultants.

Your work will include

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for cyber and information security in our local markets and building strong relationships with country management
  • Conducting structured assessments of local needs, risks and maturity – across IT, OT and compliance – using a common Group framework
  • Translating local needs into concrete deliveries from Group specialists in security operations, GRC, legal and architecture
  • Supporting local implementation of Group security initiatives, standards and controls, including NIS2, ISO 27001 and IEC 62443 requirements
  • Making our markets aware of the security services already available to them through the Group, reducing the need for external advisors
  • Reporting findings, progress and risks back to the CISO and contributing to Group-level prioritisation

What we offer

We believe security starts with understanding the business: what needs protecting, why it matters and how security can help the organisation move faster and more safely. That is exactly what this role embodies – security delivered in partnership with the business, not imposed on it.

Our role is not to block progress, but to help Eurowind operate securely and confidently globally, under NIS2 and in an increasingly demanding threat landscape.

We also believe good security starts with strong fundamentals. It is easy to chase the cutting edge, but most organisations are exposed because the basics are not consistently in place. For us, that means strong visibility, reliable detection and well-practised response – consistently, in every market. We do not dismiss bold ideas – we build the foundation that makes them viable.

Just as importantly, we believe better security comes from building a better team. We value people who challenge assumptions, think independently and bring different perspectives. Leadership in our team is about creating the conditions for better answers to emerge, not pretending to have all the answers.

In return, you will get

  • A unique, self-directed role with international reach and direct impact across 14 countries
  • Direct anchoring with the CISO and close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the Group
  • A strong specialist backline – you are the front figure, never alone with the problem
  • Access to modern AI tools and automation to amplify your impact
  • Pension and health insurance
  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid working model based at our headquarters in Hobro – with the opportunity to travel to our European markets when it makes a difference

Required competencies and skills

This role is less about deep technical specialisation and more about judgement, communication and drive. You are comfortable walking into a country office or an energy park and earning trust quickly – whether you are talking to a country manager, a site technician or a local lawyer. You can hold a conversation about regulatory obligations in the morning and OT security at a substation in the afternoon, and you know when to bring in a specialist.

We imagine you bring

  • Solid experience within cyber and information security, for example from consulting, advisory or a broad security role in an international organisation
  • A working understanding of regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, and ideally exposure to OT/industrial environments or IEC 62443
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the credibility to engage with local management
  • A structured and analytical way of working – you turn conversations into clear assessments and actionable requests
  • The confidence to work independently across borders while knowing when to pull in the backline
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across our 14 markets

It’s a plus if you have

  • Experience from the energy sector or other critical infrastructure
  • Experience working in a Group/HQ function delivering services to local entities
  • Hands-on experience with security assessments, gap analyses or audit-style engagements
  • Used AI or LLMs as practical tools in your workflow

Please note that this role requires a clean criminal record. A security clearance may become relevant later in the employment, but it is not required in order to apply.

Renewable energy is our future. And so are our people!

At Eurowind Energy we do our best to create a culture where everyone is valued and feels at home. You will notice this in your everyday work life, where you have the freedom to speak up and where your voice means something to us. We know that when you grow, we grow. Therefore, we strive to support you in what you believe is right and in your personal and professional development. We offer you an exciting job in an energetic and international environment. And we promise you: the wind is never standing still.

Developing, operating and managing wind and solar parks is not just pure business for us. It is a way to view the world. And with this worldview comes a genuine ambition to be one of the leading developers in Europe. Because creating a future run entirely on green energy matters to us.

We manage our own portfolio of projects and at the same time, we perform technical and financial management of projects. We have throughout many years experienced sustained economic growth in the number of developed projects and companies in management. And we continue to expect this. Simply because it is in our nature to keep developing – projects, companies and our people.
