"Good on the Way" to a social- and health education

The course “Good on the Way” is a combination of health-related subjects, Danish language instruction and internship. The project’s purpose is that you become ready for a social- and health education.

The program is for you who

• have Danish as a second language and are not entitled to more language school instruction
• would like to work with people and make a meaningful difference
• wish to take a social- and health education and work with the elderly, the sick or people with disabilities

Health and Care in Ringkøbing–Skjern Municipality has an offer for you who wish to work with the Danish language, culture and health subjects in this course program.

When: From 1 March 2027 to 13 August 2027.

Where: At Social- and Health School Central West Jutland in Herning and an internship site in Health and Care Ringkøbing–Skjern Municipality.

Meeting and working hours: 37 hours per week. On course days 08:00-15:24 https://www.sosumv.dk/ and a bit more variation in internship weeks. Most often you meet from 07:00 to 15:00.

Salary: 24,991.33 DKK per month before tax, and you can apply for travel expenses/ticket costs for your transport to the school. Transport to the internship you must pay yourself. We try to find an internship close to where you live.

Content of “Good on the Way”

• training in the Danish language also professional language
• introduction to the health disciplines
• internship days at an elderly center, where you get a good introduction, solve tasks from school and participate in the daily work

It is important that you have

• passed Danish exam 2 at minimum, preferably 3 or similar
• passed mathematics corresponding to Danish 9th grade level
• willingness to provide care, treatment, nursing and practical help
• residence- and work permit
• satisfactory criminal record

• Mathematics (9th grade from DK or home country, if you have it)
