About the job

Would you like a varied daily life with two workplaces, collaboration with two grave diggers, and many different tasks?

Are you also happy with both independent work and being part of a team? Then perhaps you are the person our two grave diggers need.

Næstelsø-Mogenstrup Sogne, Fladså Pastorat in Næstved Deanery, seeks a graveyard worker's assistant for a 30-hour-a-week position with start on 15 March 2027.

About the position

There is geographic flexibility in the position, and work may be required at other locations in Fladså Pastorat as needed and by agreement.

There is also a church caretaker function included in the position, which means that work can fall on any day of the week. The work will primarily take place during daytime hours, but there will also be events, church services and duties in the evening hours.

Monday is generally a day off, and there is a flexible day off per week. There are two fixed free weekends per quarter, while other non-working weekends are agreed. Vacation is planned in collaboration between the cemetery staff and the contact person.

We expect that you

  • are proficient in the Danish language
  • have a flair for and interest in green areas
  • are keen to maintain existing facilities and contribute to developing areas planned for renovation or transformation
  • are physically able to carry out the work with the churches' and cemeteries' areas.

We also expect you to participate in parish council meetings as well as events related to church services.

We emphasize that you

  • have a driving license and are willing to use your own car in connection with the work
  • have an understanding of the operating economic framework
  • are engaged and flexible and have an interest in the church and life in the parishes
  • meet both people and tasks with a positive attitude.
