At Valcon, we’re growing our Data & AI community and are looking for a Data Engineer who combines technical curiosity with a collaborative mindset. We are particularly interested in professionals with strong Databricks and AWS experience who want to help shape innovative data solutions for some of Denmark’s leading organisations.

The role

As an experienced Data Engineer at Valcon, you’ll work closely with clients, architects, data scientists, and fellow engineers to design, build, and use scalable cloud-based data platforms. You will play a key role in helping organisations transform data into insights, AI solutions, and business value.

A significant part of the role will involve working with Databricks and AWS, designing modern data platforms, building robust data pipelines, implementing modern AI/BI tooling, and supporting clients throughout their transformation journeys. Depending on the project, you’ll also work with technologies such as Azure, Python, SQL, Terraform, and PySpark.

What you bring along

• Minimum of 5 years of experience building and using modern data platforms based on Databricks and AWS
• Preferably fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
• Strong data engineering skills, including data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data modelling
• Familiar with engineering best practices, CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and automation
• Experience from regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Financial Services, Tax Administration, or Defence is an advantage
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for solving complex challenges and creating impact together with clients and colleagues
