About the job

Bundgaardsskolen søger en fagligt stærk lærer med undervisningskompetencer i Dansk, Kristendomskundskab og Billedkunst

At Bundgaardsskolen we are looking for a teacher who is passionate about high academic standards, strong communities and the development of inclusive learning environments, where all students experience learning, participation opportunities and well-being.

We believe that clear adults, high expectations and good relationships are crucial for students' academic, social and personal development. Therefore we seek a teacher who has ambitions for the students and a willingness to contribute actively to our professional learning community.

About the position

As a teacher in our general department at the lower middle level, you will be an important part of a year group team, where we collaborate closely on teaching, students' learning and the development of strong communities.

You will be part of a professional collaboration with colleagues, management, parents and relevant partners, where we through joint reflection and development strive to create the best possible framework for all students.

At Bundgaardsskolen we are organized in Professional Learning Communities (PLF), where we, through close collaboration, shared reflection and subject-specific sparring, work systematically to develop teaching and strengthen students' learning. We also prioritise Co-teaching in Danish and Mathematics as part of our overall effort to strengthen students' academic development and participation opportunities.

We want a teacher who can create varied, motivating and practice-oriented instruction, where students' different prerequisites, strengths and interests are brought into play.

We are looking for a teacher with teaching competencies in Danish, Christian Studies and Art. It would be an advantage if you can also teach English, but this is not a requirement.

We are looking for a teacher who

  • Has a strong subject knowledge and a passion for creating motivating, varied and engaging teaching.
  • Has an inclusive learning approach and meets students with recognition, curiosity and high expectations.
  • Is clear in classroom management and can create structure, safety and good learning environments.
  • Has insight into both individual student development and the importance of strong classroom and learning communities.
  • Takes ownership of tasks, relationships and shared goals.
  • Shows commitment, initiative and a desire to make a positive difference for children and youths.
  • Thrives in professional team collaboration and contributes actively to collective reflection and development.
  • Sees value in working in Professional Learning Communities (PLF) and Co-teaching as a framework for developing teaching.
  • Wants to work with children's rights, participation and involvement as a natural part of the school day.
  • Is curious about their own practice and has courage to try new approaches to teaching and learning.

We offer

  • A workplace with high professional standards, strong relationships and ambitions for all students.
  • Skilled and engaged colleagues who value collaboration, professional sparring and joint development.
  • A strong professional learning community where we develop teaching through reflection, knowledge sharing and joint trial actions.
  • Co-teaching that enables close collaboration on students' learning and participation.
  • A school where children's rights, participation and strong communities are central to our pedagogical practice.
  • Opportunity to influence the development of teaching and the school's academic and pedagogical direction.
  • A meaningful daily life with variation and the possibility to make a difference for the students.
  • Leadership that prioritises staff well-being, professional development and involvement.

About Bundgaardsskolen

We are a UNICEF Rights School, where the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child forms the framework for our community, values and view of children. This means that we actively work with children's rights, participation and involvement, and that students' perspectives are an important part of the school day.

At Bundgaardsskolen we work with the ambition that all children should feel like meaningful participants in strong and binding communities. We believe that high academic standards and well-being go hand in hand, and that the best solutions are created through clear pedagogical direction, strong relationships and professional collaboration.
