About the job

Director for a New Area, Ordruplund

Do you want to lead a new directorate area, where we build on what works and at the same time develop new, flexible offers for citizens and relatives?

We are looking for an experienced and development-oriented director for a newly established position. You will be responsible for the area that brings together municipal temporary placements, day care, and a day center, and a great opportunity to help shape the offering, lead the development together with colleagues, and ensure collaboration, implementation, and professional direction.

The task is to translate the intentions of the Elderly Care Act about self-determination, holistic care, trust in professionalism, and citizen-centric leadership into practice that can be felt in the daily life of citizens. Together with managers, employees, and partners, you will, among other things, develop more flexible forms of respite care – for example, evening, night, or shorter programs, longer day services, or yet another proposal – based on the needs of the citizen and the relatives, so life at home can be maintained as long as possible.

Your leadership task

You will have the overall management responsibility and be the leader of four managers who oversee Day Home, Day Center, Section for respite care and cleaning, and the kitchen. The task is currently solved across several sites, and it will continue, which is why a central task will be to assemble a strong leadership team and create a common direction across professions and addresses for even more coherence across.

The leadership team you will lead is a new constellation, a mix of very experienced leaders and a leader who is seconded, with experience from the area.

The director’s task is to

  • set a clear direction and lead through managers
  • develop the area with respect for the experience and professionalism that already exists
  • translate ideas into testing, learning, and new practice
  • strengthen working communities, quality, resource awareness, and the working environment
  • actively contribute to the shared management work in Care and Health.

In Care and Health we have a clear strategic direction, a common core narrative, policies, and common guidelines.

We are looking for a director who

  • has solid management experience, preferably from a similar organization
  • has succeeded in leading through managers and creating followers around a shared direction
  • has experience with change and can translate strategy into concrete activities and strong implementation practice
  • communicates clearly, inclusively, and with presence
  • is curious, brave, and persistent and stays calm when it gets hectic

In addition, you have a health professional background at bachelor level and leadership training at diploma or master's level.

We lead with trust and broad discretion, while also being clear about direction, expectations, and responsibility. You must be able to work independently and enjoy close dialogue and sparring with the chief and leadership colleagues.

We offer

  • a newly created position with great opportunity to shape an area in development
  • a meaningful and complex leadership task close to citizens' needs
  • opportunity to develop flexible and coherent offerings
  • a close leadership community with focus on professionalism, quality, and the working environment.
  • experienced and competent leaders who lead with great engagement

Does this sound like you?

If you are motivated by leading something that is not yet finished, seeing opportunities for yourself, taking on larger tasks and delivering results, we would love to hear from you.

We are a flexible workplace focused on good cross-disciplinary collaboration and how to best engage each individual's competencies – including the leaders’. Your competencies are therefore central to us, and we support and develop them continuously. You will receive a mentor, an onboarding program, and close sparring in connection with task execution.
