About the job

Are you passionate about quality and development in elder care, and can you set initiatives in motion and ensure they are translated into practice?

Can you create an overview, set a clear direction and ensure that good ideas and projects are translated into concrete results? Do you thrive being close to both staff, residents and relatives, while maintaining focus on professional quality, daily operations and development?

Then you may be the one we are looking for!

At Lystholm Nursing Home we are seeking an engaged and proactive department manager for a one-year maternity cover starting 1 January 2027.

We are looking for you who take responsibility, create momentum and follow up tasks to completion. You have an eye for both people and results and are motivated by ensuring a everyday life where high professional quality, stable operations and joy of life go hand in hand.

About Lystholm

Lystholm is an Eden-registered nursing home where we work purposefully with the Eden Alternative philosophy. We aim to create a daily life characterised by presence, meaningful communities and joy of life based on residents' life histories, wishes and needs.

Lystholm consists of three houses with a total of 64 apartments. We have green surroundings, activity staff and a strong focus on creating home-like settings where residents are active participants in their own lives.

About the position

As department manager you will be part of our management team, which consists of two department managers and a center manager, including you. We prioritise close collaboration, professional sparring and a common direction for Lystholm's development.

In the maternity cover, you will have an important task in ensuring continuity in leadership, maintaining smooth operations and driving the professional and organizational initiatives that create value for residents and employees.

We place particular emphasis on your ability to drive quality development, ensure daily operations and create momentum in projects and new initiatives. You must be able to translate goals into action, follow up on results and ensure that new workflows are implemented and anchored in practice.

Your main tasks will be to

  • Ensure and develop health-professional quality, including documentation and professional workflows.
  • Create structure and overview in daily operations and ensure good prioritization.
  • Drive projects and development tasks from planning to implementation and follow-up.
  • Lead, motivate and develop employees and support a good working environment.
  • Ensure good collaboration with residents, relatives and relevant partners.
  • Actively contribute to the overall development of Lystholm.

We imagine that you

  • Have a health-professional education, preferably as a nurse.
  • Have leadership experience from the elder care sector or potential and desire to develop as a leader.
  • Have an eye for professional quality and the ability to translate ambitions into concrete improvements.
  • Are structured, decisive and good at creating overview and momentum.
  • Can drive projects, implement new workflows and follow up on results.
  • Are clear, present and appreciative in your leadership style and can inspire followers among staff.

You don't need to be a superhero, but you should be willing to take responsibility, create results and find solutions, even when everyday life doesn't go exactly as planned. And with a touch of humor.

We offer

You will get a meaningful leadership position with the opportunity to shape both daily operations and the development of Lystholm. You will become part of an engaged workplace with a strong value base, high professionalism and a leadership group where collaboration and sparring are a natural part of everyday life.

With us, we take tasks seriously, but fortunately not ourselves all the time. We believe that good leadership creates the framework for professional quality, job satisfaction and a good life for residents.
