Head of finance – Hycon in St4vring

The position is ideal for the candidate who wants to move from a specialist role to a central business role with broad organizational interface and great influence. We do not necessarily seek a candidate who has previously held the title Head of Finance. Instead, we are looking for a strong financial profile with ambitions, business understanding and a desire to take the next step in your career.

Business development

As Head of Finance you will have the overall responsibility for the finance function at HYCON and be responsible for ensuring the company's financial governance, reporting and financial decision basis.

The role is characterized by a high degree of independence and substantial responsibility. You must be able to move effortlessly between daily financial management, dialogue with the owners, development of reporting tools and participation in the company's business development.

Key tasks

• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Preparation of financial statements and financial reporting
• Reporting to owners and group functions in Sweden
• Budgeting, forecasting and liquidity management
• Controlling and financial follow-up
• Preparation of management reporting and decision basis
• Contact with auditor, banks and external partners
• Ensuring compliance and financial governance
• Business development and sparring with the CEO
• Participation in strategic and operational decisions
• Actively contribute to optimizing work processes and management tools

The company currently uses Business Central, BI solutions and Cognos as central systems.

Ability to translate financial insight into business decisions

Perhaps you currently work as an auditor, Manager or Senior Manager in the audit industry and want to get closer to the business. Perhaps you already have experience from a role as Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Accounting Manager.

The common denominator is that you want more influence on the decisions behind the numbers rather than just reporting them.

The crucial thing is not the exact title on your CV, but that you possess strong professional expertise and at the same time have the desire and ability to translate financial insight into business decisions. You have a natural interest in the link between operations, sales, production and financial results and are motivated by understanding the mechanisms that create value in the company.

You work in a structured and secure manner within accounting and reporting, but also see digitization, data and system support as a natural part of modern financial management. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Business Central, and knowledge of BI and reporting tools will therefore be an advantage, but more important is that you are curious about them. At the same time you are comfortable in dialogue with both auditors, banks, owners and management, and you manage to create credible decision bases based on solid analyses and financial insights.

As a person you are motivated by more than just correct accounts and precise reporting. You are curious by nature and have a genuine interest in understanding the business behind the numbers. When you see a development in turnover, gross margin or profitability, you are focused on understanding the causes and the business context behind it.

At the same time you are pragmatic and hands-on in your approach. You feel comfortable in an organization where people help each other, take responsibility and make things happen. You do not need a large finance department around you, but are instead motivated by having an independent area of responsibility where you can make your mark.

Finally you are characterized by a high level of integrity and responsibility. You build trust through your professionalism, your commitment and your ability to follow tasks through to the finish. You do not see the finance function as an isolated specialist function, but as a central part of the company's overall value creation.
