About the job

Are you a clear and robust leader who is passionate about creating wellbeing, development and strong communities? Are you motivated by leading a complex organization with many stakeholders and tasks? Then you may be our new health administrative leader.

We are looking for an experienced and engaged leader who can head the health administrative efforts across the Amager and Hvidovre campuses. You must be able to navigate a complex organizational reality while also creating direction, coherence and followership among the staff.

The department includes several specialties and functions, including pulmonology, endocrinology, a department of Obesity and Nutrition, and an acute clinic. It is a diverse and dynamic organization with different workflows, cultures and collaboration relationships that require hands-on leadership and strong relational competencies.

We are looking for a leader who

  • Has a strong health administrative and leadership profile.
  • Is robust and can maintain an overview in a busy and changing daily life.
  • Focuses on wellbeing, job satisfaction and a healthy working environment.
  • Can co-create a shared culture across campuses, professions and functions.
  • Is able to motivate, engage and develop employees and teams.
  • Thrives with complexity and sees opportunities rather than limitations.
  • Thrives with many collaboration interfaces
  • Is an adept communicator who builds trust and collaboration at all levels.

Primary tasks and overall responsibility

  • Staff responsibility: Recruitment, employee conversations, duty rosters and well-being work for a group of secretaries, medical secretaries and health administrative coordinators
  • Professional leadership: Ensure quality in patient pathways, data handling, coding and administrative workflows, and support a professional forum in cooperation with the deputy head and the development and project secretary.
  • Educational responsibility: Ensure internship placements and competence development for e.g. students in the education as health administrative coordinator in collaboration with mentors
  • Cross-cutting collaboration: Join the department's interdisciplinary management team
  • Patient cases: Handling and case processing of Patient cases

As a leader you will play a central role in the continued development of the health administrative function, where you must ensure high quality in task execution while supporting a culture characterized by collaboration, respect and shared responsibility.

You are motivated by bringing people together around common goals and by creating results through relationships, involvement and clear leadership.

If you already have a leadership qualification, we see it as an advantage. If you do not, the most important thing is that you want to develop yourself as a leader . We expect you to be open to relevant leadership education and to continuously develop your own leadership practice.

You are trained as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator and have solid experience in the patient administrative area.

What you can look forward to

You will become the leader of 44 skilled health administrative employees with great expertise and engagement, as well as a deputy head with whom you will have a close partnership, as well as a development and project secretary, team coordinator and the department’s SP key personnel.

Your task will be to create good framework for employees to succeed, develop and thrive, both as professionals and as a community.

At the same time, you will be part of a leadership team where we play to each other’s strengths, share responsibility and stand together in the leadership task . We believe that good leadership is developed in interaction with others, and that different perspectives make us better.

We offer an exciting leadership position where you will have the opportunity to put your mark on an organization in development and help create a strong shared identity across two campuses and several specialties in close cooperation with the department management as well as the heads of sections in respective specialties/areas.

The position is full-time with expected start date January 1, 2027 or by agreement.

We look forward to receiving your application and CV no later than November 22, 2026.
