Then you may be the person we are looking for for the position of Plant Manager for Den Fælles Sterilcentral at Rigshospitalet.

You will play a central role in ensuring stable and efficient production, developing our team leaders and employees, and supporting the ongoing fusion of the region's sterilization centers.

Close to operations and the staff

As Plant Manager you will have direct line management responsibility for two team leaders and overall personnel responsibility for about 20 employees. As the fusion continues and new departments are implemented, both the staff group and your area of responsibility are expected to expand.

You must be a visible and accessible leader who understands production and is able to deliver results through your team leaders.

An important part of your task will be to ensure clear leadership, good well-being and a stable operation, where quality, capacity and timely deliveries go hand in hand.

Your key tasks will be to

• Ensure a stable, safe and efficient production with high quality and timely deliveries.
• Lead, support and develop your two team leaders.
• Ensure good people management with focus on well-being, working environment, sickness absence and retention.
• Create structure and coherence between staffing, competencies, capacity and production flow.
• Work systematically with data, Lean, process optimization and continuous improvements.
• Ensure clear communication, alignment of expectations and consistent follow-up.
• Support the fusion and ensure good onboarding and integration of new employees and workflows.
• Strengthen collaboration across our sites and with the hospital's clinical departments.

You need to make daily operations run smoothly

Production is the heart of our organization, and as Plant Manager you will have the overall responsibility to ensure that people, competencies, capacity and production flow come together.

You must be able to maintain an overview of a complex operation, prioritize resources and ensure that your team leaders have the necessary framework to succeed. This requires that you can work with the overall production management while also understanding the challenges that arise in daily operations.

You must be able to identify bottlenecks, respond to deviations and ensure that challenges are translated into concrete and sustainable solutions through your team leaders.

We work with data, Lean and continuous improvements, but for us the primary goal is to create results in practice. You must therefore be able to translate production data and key figures into clear priorities, follow up systematically on performance and ensure an efficient use of our capacity and resources.

As an experienced leader you are expected to balance daily operations with the long-term development of production, the employees and the organization.

An important role in our fusion

Den Fælles Sterilcentral is undergoing a major development, where the region's local sterilization centers are gradually being consolidated into one common organization.

As Plant Manager you will have an important role in translating the changes into a well-functioning everyday life.

Together with your team leaders you must ensure good onboarding, training and integration of new employees, while focusing on well-being and security for existing employees.

We are therefore seeking a leader who can create calm, direction and buy-in through changes, and who can bring employees together around common goals and ways of working.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced and action-oriented leader who comes from a senior management role, for example as Senior Manager, Head of Production or an equivalent position with substantial people and operations responsibility.

You have solid experience in leading through other leaders and are used to taking overall responsibility for employees, production, results and organizational development.

You thrive in a complex operations organization where you can set the overall direction and ensure that decisions translate into concrete results in daily production.

• Have solid leadership experience at Senior Manager or Head of Production level.
• Have documented experience in managing leaders and developing strong leadership teams.
• Have a strong foundation in people management, production control and operational operations.
• Have experience with change management, mergers or major organizational changes.
• Can create structure, stability and clear frameworks in a complex production.
• Work systematically with well-being, working environment, sickness absence and employee development.
• Have experience with Lean, capacity management, process optimization and data-driven leadership.
• Are visible, decisive and consistent in your leadership and follow-up.

As a leader you are clear, present and results-oriented. You succeed in creating buy-in, developing your team leaders and ensuring a strong coherence between employees, operations and the organization's goals.

You are motivated by delivering results through others and see change as a natural part of the leadership role.

A brief about Den Fælles Sterilcentral

Den Fælles Sterilcentral was established in 2025 as an independent company in the Capital Region of Denmark and will, by the end of 2028, have the overall responsibility for reprocessing the region's multi-use surgical instruments.

We work every day to ensure high quality, stable operations and timely deliveries to the hospitals' operating rooms.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement

• Collective agreement: Agreement for managers 22.02.1
• Position: Other administrative managers, step 49 + annual allowance.

Salary is set according to applicable agreements with the possibility of negotiating individual supplements based on experience and qualifications.

Your primary place of service will be Henrik Harpestrengs Vej 13, 2100 Copenhagen Ø, Rigshospitalet. There may be meeting activity at the Den Fælles Sterilcentral's other sites.

You will report to the Unit Manager in the Unit for Production and Quality, Sani Iqbal.

Expected start date 1 December 2026 or by agreement.
