HEAD OF DESIGN STUDIO AT FLEXMODUL A/S

Do you want to lead the design studio at one of the leading producers of modern and sustainable modular construction and ensure that the projects are translated into a well-developed and efficient production base?

FLEXMODUL A/S in Vinderup is seeking a design studio head who can combine people management with a strong construction-technical understanding, good planning skills and a high focus on quality.

You will take a central role in the company and become the bridge between the design studio, the project department, the quality function, external consultants and production.

The position reports directly to the company's CEO.

ROLE, RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

As the design studio head you will have overall responsibility for the design studio and the daily management of the company's project drafters/designers.

You ensure that the drawing work is performed on time in relation to the production schedule, and you follow the company's standards and procedures for quality as required by production and the individual building projects.

An important part of the role will be to create structure, prioritise the studio's resources and ensure an efficient flow from project material to production-ready drawings. At the same time you should develop the staff and contribute to a professional, efficient and developing working environment.

Your primary areas of responsibility include

• Take care of the daily management and personnel management of the design studio
• Plan, prioritise and allocate the design studio's tasks and resources
• Ensure that the drawing work follows the production plan and is delivered on time
• Control and optimise the time consumption within the defined frameworks
• Ensure the quality of the production base before materials are released to production
• Ensure that the drawing material is correct, complete and usable for production
• Reduce errors, omissions and unnecessary rework between design studio and production
• Ensure that the company's standards, processes and procedures are followed
• Conduct employee development interviews (MUS), salary negotiations and other personnel management tasks
• Support professional development, sparring and skill building in the design studio
• Continuously work on improving and optimising the design studio's processes
• Collaborate closely with the project manager on timely and comprehensive delivery of project material
• Coordinate with the quality department, consultants and production on standards, guidelines and regulations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

We imagine that you have a construction-technical education, e.g. as a building constructor, engineer, architect or equivalent. You have experience with design and preparation or quality assurance of technical drawing material, preferably from modular construction, timber construction, panel construction or other industrialized building production.

You either have management experience or a clear desire to take the next step into a leadership role. The crucial thing is that you can provide direction, structure and followership, while having the necessary professional understanding to spar with drafters/designers, project managers, consultants and production.

• Understand the relationship between design, quality and production
• Can plan and prioritise resources in a project-oriented daily life
• Work in a structured way and follow tasks through to completion
• Have an eye for quality, detail and the usability of the drawing material
• Can handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Communicate clearly and constructively across disciplines
• Are development-oriented and motivated by improving processes and workflows
• Thrive with both managerial, coordinating and professional tasks
• Have experience with relevant CAD or BIM tools. Experience with Revit would be an advantage.
