Østergade 118 and 120

Østergade 118 and 120 are residential facilities for adults with cognitive disabilities, located in a quiet area of Horsens with Lunden as a neighbor.

Østergade 118 houses 15 residents aged 20-29, many with diagnoses on the autism spectrum. This residential facility opened August 2025. The residents live in their own apartments with a common house in the middle, where there is daily opportunity to buy evening meals and participate in common activities.

Østergade 120 houses 8 residents aged 30-83. The facility has existed since the 1980s, and several of the residents have lived there ever since. Østergade 120 also has its own common house, where residents, with support, hold cooking clubs and meet for coffee and socializing.

Common to both groups of residents is that all receive support to participate in employment offers and daily tasks such as; shopping, cleaning, finances, e-mail, general daily structure, medication management, other health-related tasks, and for some individuals personal hygiene. In addition, it is a high priority to support residents in participation in social communities and activities.

Staff at Østergade

The staff group consists of social educators, pedagogical assistants, physiotherapists, SOSU assistants and care workers and is organized into 3 teams, with multiple professional groups represented in each team. As a health professional at Østergade you perform both healthcare and pedagogical tasks, participate in team meetings and joint staff meetings.

We strive to be a dynamic workplace with room to grow, where both managers and staff have an informal tone and work together in a flat structure. We want a workplace where we can be proud of our professional level and deliver pedagogical and health professional interventions of high quality.

As an employee at Østergade you work mixed day and evening shifts, and have time off every other weekend.
