About the job
Are you one of our new engaged crisis psychologists who would like, together with us, to start up and develop a psychology function in the soon-to-be former Region Zealand? Ambulance rescuers, emergency physicians and staff in the AMK dispatch center and the GP service (1818/1813) need strong psychological professional support.
We are looking for 2 experienced psychologists with clinical training, preferably with a specialist qualification in psychotraumatology.
The Prehospital Service in Region East will consist of about 2,300 employees and has the task of creating a cohesive emergency preparedness for the region's 2.8 million inhabitants. The Emergency Service of the Capital Region has for the past 3.5 years had psychologists attached to support the staff. And with the merger into Region East, the psychology staffing will be expanded so that we will cover our entire new organization.
About the position
The psychology group in the Prehospital Center will consist of the two current psychologists and the two new ones, who in close collaboration will support employees in the prehospital area.
Your primary tasks will be to
- Supervise staff in the AMK dispatch center (the health professionals as well as the dispatchers).
- Supervise ambulance rescuers and sometimes emergency physicians.
- Educate managers in defusing.
- Conduct debriefings after major incidents with many agencies involved.
- Provide broad psychological training according to employees' needs, including for 1813 and 1818.
- Take care of individual trauma treatments for employees after serious incidents.
- Participate in major crises and disasters as a crisis psychologist.
The position can be configured in several ways. For example, if you have your own practice and would like to keep it 1-2 days per week, that is possible. But it can also be a full-time position with us. We must together find a solution you can see yourself in.
We offer
- An exciting and broad psychological professional work with your own areas of responsibility.
- A professionally strong and well-functioning team of colleagues and close interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Professional sparring and external collegial supervision.
- Participation in development projects and opportunities for clinical research.
- Focus on work-life balance.
About you
You must be educated as Cand.psych. with clinical training and preferably with a specialist in psychotraumatology. We emphasize that you can match the following competencies and have:
- Solid clinical experience.
- Extensive experience with teaching and supervision.
- Experience with crisis management and trauma reactions.
- Flair for working independently and a high degree of proactivity.
- Experience with EMDR or a desire to master EMDR.
- An ability to build trusting relations with many different staff groups and at many levels.
- Robustness in hearing about and being involved in very serious incidents in the aftermath.
- An ability to balance the role as internal psychologist.
Salary and employment conditions
Employment as a psychologist in accordance with the collective agreement for academics employed in regions 33.01.1.
Your primary place of employment will be at the Prehospital Center, Ringstedgade 61 in Næstved, where you will have an office. You should expect occasionally to drive around to the region's ambulance bases in the former Region Zealand, as you as a psychologist must be visible and accessible. Therefore you must have a driver's license and preferably be able to provide your own car.
The positions are as a rule full-time with an average of 37 hours per week with flexible working hours. The positions are to be filled by February 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.
It is a prerequisite for occupying the position that you can obtain a security clearance.
