Hertugbyens Daycare seeks a new colleague – 37 hours per week starting January 1, 2027

Are you a pedagogue (educator) and would you like to contribute to giving the children a good day in a developing environment, then come and become part of our team.

Who are we?

Hertugbyens Daycare is an integrated institution for ages 0-6, under the Daycare Area Als. We are located in Augustenborg town center, with the school as the best and nearest neighbor.

We are in 2026 normed for 24 nursery children and 66 kindergarten children; in addition we also host a guest house and a playroom for the day care Area Als.

The position is in the kindergarten, but you are employed to work across the whole house, where a high degree of flexibility and attention to each other between age groups is valued highly.

We are currently a strong and goal-oriented staff group, who with different backgrounds are together in creating an open and versatile daycare, where both small and large communities matter to each other.

Everyone should contribute to creating our still relatively new culture, - where security in the intimate surroundings should be tangible and spread to the larger environments.

Our pedagogical approach and practice are appreciative and relationship-oriented.

We are inspired by NEST principles and co-teaching, which influences our shared view of children/childhood:

• All children are entitled to qualified pedagogy
• Children are more alike than different, and develop together
• Children do the best they can; if they do not succeed, it is the adults/pedagogical staff who must do something else.

We work daily and continually on developing the individual child and its relations. We emphasize a pedagogical practice with a clear and visualized structure, from which both children and staff benefit.

Staff teams work, especially in the “prime-time from 9:00-15:00”, with a clear division of roles – and prioritize setting aside good time with each other for planning – evaluation – and further development of activities with the children – or the larger community.

Exercises that require a professionally strong person, who is also curious about own and others’ competences and how we in team collaboration can play each other even better.

We are looking for a colleague who can live up to the following statements

• Burns to develop the pedagogical field and the work with the daycare’s core task
• Has a generous and positive view of people.
• Is empathetic and available in the relational work with children.
• Has experience with working in daycare – children from 0-6 years
• Has communicative skills – verbally and digitally.
• Is good at change and bold ideas – among the small and large in our pedagogical practice.
• Has an open, respectful and appreciative approach to children, parents, - and colleagues.
• Has responsible and flexible collaboration skills in a busy everyday life.
• Can maintain calm and overview in pressurized situations.
• Has a good sense of humor, so we can laugh together.
