Hjortholmskolen seeks a qualified pedagogue, 37 hours, 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible

Hjortholmskolen is a special school, located in Tølløse about 15 minutes' walk from the train from Holbæk/Copenhagen. The school has about 100 pupils, all of whom have a diagnosis within the autism spectrum/ADHD/anxiety, etc. Some of the students, in addition to their primary diagnosis, also have stress reactions. We see that the core problems of the target group are becoming more and more complex.

Our professional stance rests on an affirmative and stress-reducing approach. At the school we see that the responsibility for the relationship always lies with the adult and that difficulties in the student relate to skills not yet achieved or paths to change that we have not yet discovered. It is also important for us that we are inclusive and inviting in our collaboration with the parents.

Work is conducted in teams where teachers, educators and PA/assistants collaborate to create the good everyday life for the students. The goal is to bring the students into learning, both in terms of the academic, the social and the emotional. The working hours are usually in the period 08:00 to 16:00. There are also occasional scheduled meetings outside this time, corresponding to about once a month.

We prefer applicants who have experience with the target group, are a skilled communicator both in writing and speaking and can lay development strategies for both the group and the individual child. Many of our students “borrow our nervous systems,” which is why it is required that you have control of yourself, are balanced, have a good mood and can be appreciative, imaginative and present.
