About the job

Are you interested in working with the entire recruitment process – from start-up to contract – in an organization where you can make a difference for both the Armed Forces and Denmark?

Then this might be you who helps shape the future of HR with us.

About us

Chefbemandingssektion ALFA is part of the Center for Staffing and Attachments in the Personnel Command. We work with a wide range of HR tasks, with recruitment as our primary focus.

Our core tasks include, among others

  • Recruitment to positions in the Ministry of Defence's department.
  • Hiring of defense attaches.
  • Development of the Armed Forces' talent management program.
  • Case handling related to the ministerial area’s leadership group.

In addition, we handle tasks close to both the Directorate in the Personnel Command and the Ministry of Defence's department.

We are 10 dedicated employees – both civilians and military – and we have an informal tone, a strong camaraderie and a high degree of collaboration. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to spar with skilled colleagues and develop across HR disciplines.

About the position

As an HR consultant in Chefbemandingssektion ALFA you will be trained and then take responsibility for your own recruitments and tasks.

You will, among other things, work with

  • Recruitment from A to Z – from start-up and coordination of the recruitment process to the contract.
  • Coaching and support of hiring managers through the recruitment process.
  • The administrative part of the recruitment process, including the preparation of employment letters, handling of documentation and system registration.
  • HR administration and case handling of personnel matters.
  • Notetaking and preparation of decision bases for the management.
  • Collaboration across the ministerial area and with other units in the Armed Forces.
  • Various ad hoc HR tasks.

The position gives you a broad insight into HR work in a large and complex public organization, where you both take responsibility and have the opportunity to develop professionally.

We offer

With us you get

  • an exciting and varied everyday life with meaningful tasks.
  • opportunity to specialize and develop your HR competencies.
  • flexible terms with the possibility of remote work.
  • modern facilities, canteen, gym and good transport links.

As one of our colleagues describes it

”It is an exciting place to work where you can specialize in many fascinating HR areas. I especially value the flexibility and collaboration between civilian and military staff – it makes the work both meaningful and present.” – Heidi, HR Consultant.

About you

We are looking for a colleague who

  • is approachable, solution-oriented and good at building relationships.
  • can work independently, take initiative and make qualified decisions.
  • is structured and systematic – even when tasks are routine.
  • communicates clearly and diplomatically – both verbally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have experience with HR work, public administration or working in a politically led organization. You may also be newly qualified or early in your career with a desire to develop within the HR field. Knowledge of public agreements and experience with case management systems such as Work Zone is also an advantage, but not a requirement.

Terms of employment

The employment is governed by the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic associations for academics in the state (the Academic Collective Agreement).

Depending on your qualifications and competences, there is an opportunity for negotiation of allowances. The position is linked to an employer-financed pension scheme.

The workplace is in Ballerup.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special conditions. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to perform service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.
