We are seeking an engineer with strong professional expertise in HVAC/plumbing and with knowledge of ventilation for our Buildings business unit. At AFRY we develop and advise on buildable, sustainable solutions for future generations. We have many years of expertise in the Danish construction industry, and our knowledge spans across high-rise buildings, client advisory, industrial construction and much more. You will become part of a strong interdisciplinary environment with competent colleagues who take pride in providing holistic, forward-looking advice.

About the tasks

As an engineer you will be part of an engaged team of about 20 skilled colleagues with different professional backgrounds such as engineers, installers, building designers, and technical designers. To ensure cross-disciplinary coherence in the projects, we work a lot in project groups so that you will work closely with, among others, electrical, plant and structural professionals.

We are a department consisting of dedicated and professionally skilled employees who are passionate about delivering optimal and future-proof sustainable solutions in the design of all forms of HVAC installations in buildings including water, heating, ventilation, cooling, rainwater and wastewater.

You will join a professional technical environment where there is a focus on knowledge sharing and good collaboration. In your daily work you will, among other things, be working with

• Strengthening professional knowledge and cross-disciplinary work on both projects and in the office.
• Be an engineer
• Be the engineer for larger and smaller projects, where you set the direction and principles, preferably with a view to technical project management.
• Have a coordinating role in relation to budget handling, planning, facilitation of cross-disciplinary collaboration, etc.
• Be in contact with collaborators as well as current and potential new customers.
• Calculation of HVAC and plumbing systems
• Contribute to the professional development of the department.

You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of exciting, diverse projects in both large and small scales; from schools and hospitals to high-rise buildings, industrial constructions, housing development, day-care centers and commercial buildings.

Concretely, we currently have a very nice pipeline with many exciting projects.

Qualifications

We expect you will fit well into the job if you

• Are educated as an HVAC/plumbing engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Have experience in the consulting industry as an engineer and preferably as a discipline lead.
• Are technically strong, so you can be a professional sparring partner
• Are a skilled communicator of professional knowledge and are used to creating coherence across disciplines.
• Have a proactive approach to your work and not least to collaboration, where you are the person people turn to when they need help.
• Are professionally strong in the design of HVAC and ventilation, and can work independently at a high level.
• Thrive in a role with direct customer contact and take pride in delivering a good project to our clients.
