In Børnehuset Basthøj we hurry slowly – while we wait for you!

Does your heart beat for the children and the close parent collaboration, where we are flexible and take care in the daily meeting with the child, the parent and with colleagues, so you might be our new pedagogue?

We are seeking a pedagogue for the toddler and kindergarten; the hourly rate is initially 37 and the employment start 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Børnehuset Basthøj lies on the edge of Ganløse. We have a view over fields, sheep and horses, and border a large beautiful forest area Nature Park Mølleåen where we use the footpath diligently. Or we visit the ducks in the village's duck pond – do you want to join the next trip?

On the playground there is not a stone unturned nor an insect unstudied. Here there is room for play, immersion and exploration.

Children need playful adults who can laugh together.

We are a staff group of both genders and ages, where engagement is our common driving force in the professional work around the children. We believe we reach the furthest when in dialogue we listen to each other and learn new things, where we see our differences as a strength that opens doors, windows, creates new perspectives – seeing things in new ways.

We form the frame for a good childhood, and take as our starting point the child's resources and potentials, where the relational work with the children is always the adult's responsibility . We are curious and dare to go on explorations together with the children, and find new paths and different ways to act.

In the learning environment we work structured and in small groups of children and engage in our professional work around the children.

We work with adult order so everyone knows what to do when they come in - throughout the day.

The staffing norm is allocated resource-wise to the children throughout the day.

The kindergarten is functionally divided into many small learning environments where we spread out and participate in the children's play throughout the day. The children are attached to 1 of 2 groups with their fixed primary adults.

The toddler group is in 2 groups which are in close cooperation with each other and across with the kindergarten. The learning environment is divided into small areas that give an overview, presence and immersion.

What we create together

• You will have a leader who is good at giving professional feedback and one of my questions could be; how is your relation to the child, the parent and the colleague?
• We expect a high level of professionalism from ourselves and we also expect that from you. The agreements we make, become active action.
• Together we focus on maintaining our low sickness absence and good working environment.

With us you can work in structured work environments with plenty of opportunities for exploration and immersion. You can work reflectively with sparring from your colleagues and work independently in close collaboration with staff and parents. As a pedagogue you have a weekly reflection and planning hour and a monthly 1x1 conversation with your leader.

We can offer a workplace with room to maneuver, where you as a pedagogue have ample opportunity for further education. (With us you will have influence in shaping the pedagogical line in a professional collegial environment where we all contribute something different.)

Egedal municipality emphasizes continuing education and this year all employees have been taught by Tea Thyrre Sørensen, based on the books Tilknytning og dannelse i dagtilbud and Tilknytning, selvregulering og samspil.
