In-home respite caregiver for a 7-year-old boy with autism

Do you want to make a difference for a family who needs a breath of fresh air in daily life?

As the parents' substitute in the home, you will help a boy aged 7.

About the job

You will take care of a 7-year-old boy, help and support the boy in play, and tidying up afterwards, so the family can achieve other things / get a break.

The boy has autism and is nonverbal, but is quite clear about what he wants, and understands what you say. The boy is not quiet or sitting still.

The boy still uses diapers, so changing diapers is part of the job.

The boy may go out to the playground under close supervision during weekend relief, but this is not a requirement.

The family ensures that there is food prepared for the boy and you, who just need to be heated, possibly some fruit/cucumber to be cut.

About you

Ideally you are familiar with infantil autism, and you have a large amount of empathy and patience.

Working hours

It will typically be from 16:15 on weekdays and/or weekends by agreement.

Workplace and salary

Since part of the service may involve excursions, the workplace can vary. However there will be a base in 2720 Vanløse.

The hourly wage for substitutes is DKK 132.51 per hour.
