About the job

Would you like to work on creating targeted, user-friendly communication across digital platforms and on teaching and guiding students in academic core competencies? CBS Library & Academic Services seeks an information specialist for a permanent full-time position. The position will commence on 1 January 2027.

About the position

University libraries are central hubs for work with knowledge, data, critical thinking, new technology, and academic integrity. Therefore CBS Library & Academic Services seeks an ambitious and forward-looking colleague who will work to develop students' academic competencies both through teaching and guidance and through relevant digital communication. You will join a dedicated team where daily work is varied, and where you work in an informal and lively environment in the Department for Facilities & Outreach.

In addition, you will have broad collaboration opportunities across the library, CBS's research and education environments and administration.

The position has two equal main tracks. A part involves editorial work and operational tasks with the library's digital outreach and marketing and the other half is teaching and guidance within the library's subject areas. The distribution of tasks may vary over the year.

Your main tasks are

  • Editorial work and responsibility for the operation, development and quality assurance of the library's information pages on CBS's website and intranet as well as libguides.cbs.dk.
  • Operations and development in connection with marketing CBS Library & Academic Services on social media and in connection with campaigns, events and courses as well as research communication on information screens.
  • Teaching of CBS students in information retrieval, reference handling mm.
  • Guidance to students, including through the offering “Order an Information Specialist”.
  • Shifts at the library's information desk.

Expectations for you

You have strong communication skills with a confident understanding of target groups and user needs. You are engaged as a teacher and master English at a very high level in both written and spoken form. You work systematically and independently, contribute positively in teamwork, and exude a friendly and service-oriented approach.

You have a relevant master's degree, e.g. cand.scient.bibl, and whether you are a recent graduate or have some experience with teaching, guidance, and communication in a university context, you are familiar with academic frameworks and know standards for scientific and academic work. Professional knowledge of CBS's research and education areas or the university library domain is an advantage. In addition, experience with web editorial, social media, digital marketing or UX is an advantage.

You will receive training in the tasks with sparring from your immediate supervisor and colleagues as well as ample opportunity for further professional development.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed as an AC employee under the applicable agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization. There will be an opportunity to negotiate qualification allowances.

The working hours are 37 hours per week including lunch breaks. There is a possibility for flexible working hours and home office up to one day per week. The position is to be filled on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible.
