About the job

Do you have the desire and ability to work with exciting tasks within the insolvency law area – then you can now become part of a professionally strong team at the Debt Authority in either Middelfart or Thisted.

You will actively contribute to tasks of great significance to society

In daily work you will handle tasks in the insolvency law area with a focus on bankruptcy proceedings. The Debt Authority is among other things responsible for ensuring that companies' debt does not rise, and for safeguarding the interests of public creditors in connection with our handling of bankruptcies and restructurings. These are tasks that have great significance for society, and where the results of your efforts will be evident.

You will be part of a well-functioning team with a broad professional span. Your colleagues are highly competent, and many have many years of experience in insolvency law.

In the work with bankruptcy proceedings and restructurings you will be in dialog with companies, trustees, auditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders. You will also have to appear in the district courts on behalf of the Debt Authority. Your everyday life will be characterized by a high work pace, and an expectation that you can handle case processing independently with a focus on quality and integrity.

In short, your main tasks will include

  • Assessment of conditions for bankruptcy and submission of bankruptcy petitions
  • Appearance and case presentation in the district court
  • Case processing after bankruptcy decree
  • Handling of security interests and avoidance
  • Contact with citizens and companies and their advisors
  • Collaboration with other agencies and authorities
  • Administrative tasks across insolvency case handling

Depending on your profile, you will later be able to take on other tasks such as handling fraud cases, and you may also participate in working groups or other government cooperation.

There is a broad palette of tasks with large variation in complexity. We expect that you can work independently and have a good overview, as you will be responsible for your own case portfolio.

Become part of a professionally strong and dedicated team

You will join a unit with skilled and engaged colleagues, where we work with both well-known and complex issues. We help each other across teams and focus on common goals, high professionalism, and job satisfaction.

We prioritize your professional development through thorough onboarding, ongoing sparring, follow-up, and the opportunity to maintain and develop your competences.

Quality- and accountability-minded case handler

You have a relevant higher education, preferably with a legal focus. Your background could be, for example, tax auditor, lawyer, or similar. You may be newly graduated or have several years of experience. We tailor your tasks and responsibilities based on your experience and competencies.

The Debt Authority is the state’s collection agency and collects debt for public creditors. You will work in the final part of the collection process and have contact with citizens and companies in financially difficult situations. This requires that you can establish and maintain a constructive dialogue and communicate professionally as a representative of the Debt Authority.

You describe yourself as responsible, dutiful, flexible, and focused on quality in task execution.

It is a condition that you have a driving license, as you will have to drive a service car to the district courts.

If you can see yourself as part of the Debt Authority, do not hesitate to apply – we need you.
