Two positions as introductory physicians in Internal Medicine are available for appointment as of 01.11.26 or by agreement.

We offer you work that will give you knowledge of, and experience within almost all internal medicine specialties. It will equip you to make a well-considered specialty choice, and provide a good foundation for future specialty-specific positions. Whether your future is a medical, surgical or paraclinical specialty, an introductory position with us will give an extra plus in upcoming employment interviews.

If you have extra interest in one of the medical specialties, there is possibility for individual considerations, so you will in parts of your employment have more fixed attachment to the desired specialty, including the possibility to follow in specialty outpatient clinics.

Both the department's doctors and management focus on, and prioritize, a good working, learning and educational environment.

There are morning teaching sessions several times a week, and supervision opportunities are at hand, as every department has at least one specialist physician present daily, and the outpatient clinics are in the immediate extension of the inpatient wards.

We offer a daily life with a unique opportunity to develop competencies within the 7 medical roles, specifically:

• Good opportunities for free participation in courses (medical expert)
• Opportunity to participate in teaching medical students

We guarantee a rota planning that includes ward rounds, outpatient duties, and takes individual considerations to the greatest extent possible. We weight educational considerations and your personal wishes in the scheduling. There is a favorable distribution of on-call work vs. ordinary day shifts, with emphasis on day work. The learning potential is high in all functions.

You will join a department where a common morning conference across the medical specialties is held, and where the younger doctors rotate through the specialties. The department covers the specialties of geriatrics, pulmonology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and the Center for Sports Medicine, and has a large mixed internal medicine inpatient ward. We collaborate with the cardiology and endocrinology doctors, so you can also gain exposure if you are interested.

When?

The positions are available for filling as of 01.11.26 or by agreement. Employment is generally on a full-time basis (but part-time employment would also be possible), after an introduction period with participation in two-shift middle-shift on-call duty (presence on-call). There is also a back-up on-call присутствие on-call around the clock.

Please note that a pensionable allowance is provided in accordance with a pre-arrangement with Young Doctors and Region Nordjylland for clinical basic doctors from all sectors who move to the first introductory position (DKK 48,388 at the 31.03.18 level). The allowance is paid monthly as 1/12 of the annual allowance with the ordinary monthly salary payments. The allowance is provided for a maximum of 12 months.
