Do you dream of working with the green transition in Denmark on a project where you get both the theoretical and practical parts of the work? Then you may be our upcoming intern at Jakobsen & Blindkilde in Central Denmark.

At Jakobsen & Blindkilde, which is part of NCC, we carry out civil engineering projects that deliver critical infrastructure to Danish society. We build, for example, biogas, treatment and technical plants, transformer stations, stormwater protection and cable works. We also have many classical civil engineering projects where we work with concrete, earth and sewerage in connection with constructions.

Put on your work clothes and become part of our project at Viborg Central Wastewater Treatment Plant

As an intern with us you will be attached to Viborg Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, where construction and civil works are carried out in the period 2026-2029. You will become part of the executing construction management team on a project with an order value of approximately DKK 425 million. The project aims to expand and modernize the current treatment plant so that, in time, it can receive the increased amount of wastewater from a number of other facilities in the municipality that are to be closed as part of the plan.

During the project the following activities will be performed, among others

• Earthworks and civil engineering
• Foundations work and groundwater lowering
• Concrete works
• Construction works

As part of the expansion and modernization, Viborg Central Wastewater Treatment Plant – as the first treatment plant in Denmark – will receive an integrated 4th treatment stage, which will ensure an effective reduction of the emission of pharmaceutical substances to the benefit of water quality in Nørreå.

In the internship, you will be an important partner in planning of tasks, and as a natural extension hereof join the field during the execution of the tasks. There will also be tasks with quality documentation and production follow-up, so you can be part of the tasks and have the opportunity to put your own mark on them.

We are looking for someone who

• is a student in an engineering or construction education
• has good Danish language skills in speaking and writing
• is ready to dive into a steep learning curve and collaborate with many different disciplines, including coordination of different subcontractors
• is passionate about digitalization in construction and civil engineering
• has a good amount of assertiveness
